Oasis reunion

What bugs me is that this gig is at Heaton Park and I can't think of a worse venue. Getting there is a pain and getting back is even worse. The travel infrastructure just isn't set up to cater for 80k people there.

The sound is terrible if you're near the back, the bars can't cope and the bogs are a disgrace after an hour. The whole venue just isn't good enough and I can imagine the field will be shit as well for the last night of the gigs there.

And to top it all the cost of the tickets is appalling. At least I've got some brownie points with the wife! :)

Agree. I went to the last one at Heaton Park and that's what put me off getting tickets for this.

The sound was shite, couldn't get a drink because the queue for the bar was mental and it was full of absolute dickheads. Add to that the modern audience all having their phones out for the entire thing, Im giving it a swerve for my own sanity

It is the artists promoter that's responsible for it, the band has to take some of the flack too
It's the people paying over the odds that are to blame - the whole event has been hyped to death, the BBC interrupted a news program to announce the 'news' earlier this week and sales of old albums that nobody was buying a few months ago have taken off. The way 'celebrities' are fawned over by every man and his dog is incredible. They made some good records (I have a couple of albums from the period) and might have paid to go and see them in their pomp when then they were relevant, now they're just a couple of old blokes building up cash with a lot of peope making money on the back of it. A bit sad I think but nostalgia is incredibly powerful.

Was that your first choice? Were there many left for all the stadium venues?
Looking for Dublin or Edinburgh to make a weekend of it but not holding out much hope. Back in the queue at 130k....
Good luck on hotel prices. Ticketmaster/SJM and the brothers not the only ones fleecing fans! Every Edinburgh Premier Inn hotel for a Friday night was £336 yesterday before anyone even knew they would get one!

Everyone seems to be flush with cash nowadays too. £600 for 4 tickets to Oasis in a field - no problem.

Could you imagine if these companies advertised those prices and everyone to a man just said no?

It was, queued for hours mind. Stick at it, mate. When I last checked Heaton Park were close to going but couldn't tell you about the other venues.
