Oasis reunion

United fans, young lads, started turning up on Saturday night with red smoke bombs on the hill.(Social Media)

The Rags were always going to turn up again for the last concert.

Let's be honest, it was their final chance to get United involved in the Oasis (and City) concerts somehow.

Looking at the video, it was loads of little scrotes throwing handbags at each other.

The MUEN will make it read like it was Zulu, Rorke's Drift.

Walked back off it as Don’t look back in anger started and it was louder on the football pitches! Wish I’d stayed at the back for all of it. Lad enjoyed it which was the main reason we went tonight.
 
Went to gig last weekend, went to hill tonight.

Absolutely amazing experience both times but it definitely had a few idiots there tonight on hill. I was with a group with 3 or 4 girls with us and I said we need to move back soon..... 2 mins later bottles were going all over place.

Easy option to say was reds fault but they definitely were setting off flares and started chanting, being confrontational etc. Stupid really as was a free gig. Ah well.

Shame really as not many bands have a gig outside the gig.

It's a shame. This sort of thing always starts off nice and friendly but the scumbags soon turn up to ruin everyone's enjoyment.

Just be glad you were there when it was peaceful.

I got the bus from Lever Street about 4:30pm.

A steward checked my Bee Network App and gave me a yellow wrist band. I queued up for 10 minutes. We were counted on to the bus. I was the last one on the bus. It was full but not overcrowded. The journey took about 25 minutes. Traffic depending. The bus lanes made the journey faster. The bus stopped inside Heaton Park close to the metal barriers that lead to the concert area. Coming back the queues were much longer, but they were constantly moving. Buses were lined up. Once a bus was full it left. It took about 15 minutes to get back to the Shudehill Interchange.

It was really well organised. And made getting to and from Heaton Park very easy.

I used the shuttle bus both ways and it was indeed very well organised, going there was a doddle and we had a good sing-a-long on the bus, and going back (while a bit of a slog) still moved seamlessly. Friendly staff all round too.

And what an incredible gig, absolutely electric from start to finish, and a superb atmosphere in the rain. Hope to see them headlining the expanded Etihad next summer!!
 
Didn't get tickets, but you can't justify the prices people are paying for Oasis through viagogo and other ticket reseller sites when you can pay much less and go to a festival in Croatia for a whole weekend with 15-20 top class DJ's playing (with accomodation included). Oasis are decent, but they aren't that good.

Glastonbury costs less. Crazy prices people are paying.

You get the opportunity to go to Glastonbury most years. This might end up being the only opportunity people get to see Oasis live. Thats why they were prepared to pay the extortionate prices.
There is a world of difference between watching a dj and a live band, you can't really compare the experiences.
Oasis are great live. They have the anthems to get all the crowd going, not just the die hard fans.

The prices have been ridiculous. I personally could not afford them. But, I perfectly understand why people would want to pay the money.

So for anyone who didn't get Oasis tickets, you'd suggest getting a flight across Europe for a weekend listening to music that they possibly don't like? I'm sure people are grateful. Please report back with more top tips.

could hear 'Half the world away' and ' Stand by me' clearly from Midd , but thats the only time during the last 4 gigs i could hear

I'm only pulling your leg. This thread is littered with countless people, myself included, explaining why going to see Oasis was important to them. It's marvellous that alternative stuff is available for cheaper but if people want to watch Oasis and can afford it, there's not a problem.
 
As always the way with Oasis gigs, if you go you will have a great time. I didn't bother. They took the absolute p*ss with the prices and I'm someone who likes to roam down the front, even that allocating for this was a joke, not to mention the tw*ts that throw p*ss. There's no bigger band in the country atm, and certainly no emotional attachment like Oasis gigs, but better value in a lot of places. Seen them twice and might go one last time if they do the Etihad residency but that'll be it for me. Just hope they don't release any new music in that time as the setlist is perfect atm. :P
 
Amazing night, brought back 1996 at Maine Road, but this time shared with my lad who's been waiting for a reunion since he was little and always asks me about that gig. Emotional stuff. Got to the front of the standard section and waited there for about 5 hours having got fuelled up before hand. It was nice and raucous in there for the first 20 minutes (it's a shame they don't have a few more 'jumping' tracks).
Thanks to my lad who bought the tickets off viagogo 4 weeks ago in Aus for just over £200 each. He was shagged at the end as he only got back on Saturday afternoon.
Noel and Liam seemed genuine in their appreciation of Manchester and their roots. It felt as though they were giving something back as opposed to the headlines on what they may be getting out of this.

First time I've seen them look genuinely emotional. I was wondering is one of the band unwell or something at one point, probably just all the emotion of the reunion, the fans reaction, seeing all their kids dancing togethers, not to mention our blue boys turning up to support them :)
