Oasis...

As I've said alsewhere, Oasis have failed to write one decent song in over 10 years now. They live off the media and hype without any end product to shout about. If they're gone then it's no loss but I suspect that dwindling sales have forced Noel to perform this media stunt and they'll be back on and selling better again in a few months. Just a group of media whores with neglegable talent and minimal intelligence.

(1). Bullshit
(2). Their album and ticket sales have been fine

(1) Ok I bet you can't name one decent song. I know you can't because there aren't any.
(2) Ticket sales will be fine due to their glory days (mid nineties only) but I bet their album sales are way down on their first two albums because of point (1)

(1) Whatever I say, you're going to disagree with so there isn't really much point. But just to humour you, I'll name a few: "Let There Be Love", "The Importance of Being Idle", "The Turning", "I'm Outta Time" (awaits predictable response).
(2). You mean their album sales will be down on two of the biggest selling records by a British band of all time? Well that would be a shock!!! Their last album has sold 2 million copies. Not bad going, I'd say.

Not the biggest fan but I can understand the love/hate between them, as I love to hate my brother too!

What Liam said about Noel not being the father of his child with Meg was below the belt but this is the sort of shit what gets said in the heat of the moment, having said that Liam as always been the bigger nobend of the two for as long as I've known of them.

Will be interesting to see them "compete" against each other, although I won't be suprised if we see a reconciliation in the future and all hug$ and happine$$ again.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here...

I'm sure there will be lots of snide things said over the coming days about Oasis...

I was there tonight. It is fucking devastating to see people you love, admire, and have looked up to, implode on this level. Oasis will always be the band who changed my life. They are the band of our generation. Inextricably linked with my teenage years, my twenties, and beyond. I was there at the Academy, Maine Road, and so many shows beyond that. Only a few weeks ago I had the pleasure of taking one of our first team to see Oasis and meet them for the first time. City was one of the few constants they had in their life...

Whatever happens, when everything will be said and done, Definitely Maybe and Morning Glory will live on in the same way the first Sex Pistols album, the way Sgt Pepper, Harvest, Nevermind, and plethora of other albums will live on.

"...you and I we're gonna live forever..."

What sentimental clap trap!! Imagine if I'd have written similar about Elano!! You'd be all over it like white on rice!!

So, let's equate it, shall we?

Oasis were good, not 'world class'. They could pull it out if they could be ars*d, but that was too far in between decent performances and they certainly whinged a lot to the press!! They've continued to live on past glories and it was time for them to move on!

See? Perfect!

EDIT...not gonna bother.

Dearly beloved, it is with a heavy heart and a sad face that I say this to you this morning...
Lol what a cock, you'd think someone had died as opposed to some gobshite having had another tiff with his gobshite brother.

It's quite funny. The Gallagher brothers are the sort of people you would look down on if they hadn't blended Status Quo riffs with Beatle bootlegs.

Same goes for Ian Brown.
