Offer Elano a new contract? Yes or no?

A big yes from me, but it wont happen, he will leave.

I just hope Hughes will bring in some flair, you win fuck all with only grafters in your side.

Absolutely.
I mean, that Robinho works hard and tracks back for 90 minutes but lacks real class.

Yeah and Robinho was really top of Hughes' wishlist when he took over.

No - we came perilously close to signing Berbatov instead if Hughes had his way.
And wouldn't that have been an inspired choice?

Robbie cant do it on his own, it will be to easy to shut him down.

We need a flair player to link up with robbie and Ireland.

Playing three Dms in midfield wont work.

Like some on here Elano will never be happy so get rid! Nothing to do with doubtless ability or his inconsistent form just his attitude, it stinks!

if only our good players had the attitude of some of our shit ones.... if elano had the attitude of vassell he would be a true gem... jog on elano

No he hasn't earned one, and he should have kept his mouth shut, if he wanted to discuss his future should have been behind closed doors.

why are we discussing it .he plays for Brazil!!! But . city arent brazil [ yet] and i am not sure he is fully committed week in week out so no

No.

Two years left - he shouldn't need to ask for a new contract - if he'd been putting the effort in and not stirring things up he'd have been offered one by now. As it is the club have plenty of time for him to show he's worth an extension - the obvious timing would be early next year I'd have thought.

He's brilliant on his day, which is about once every five games, but is far to inconsistent and has serious attitude problems. He has 2 years left on his contract and has done nothing to earn a new one so no, if he's threatening to leave in order to get a new contract, I say let him go.

No I dont see why he should have one, he has 2years left and that that if he want one he should stop talking s*** and do somethink on the pitch for city and I dont just mean 4games.....all the season just like superman.

I'd be starting talks.

If you let someone go into the last year of the contract it's a sure sign you don't value them too much.

Eh? He's got two years left on his contract...

Anyway, my answer would be no. He's not of the quality we require in the upcoming seasons. A decent squad player if he didn't have quite such an overinflated sense of his own abilities...the cons, fair outweigh the pros...

Funny enough, that sounds eerily like our manager, in traits...

Just a simple yes or no, to offering elano a new contract

yes for me
No. We bought him 2 years ago. He must have at least 2 years left on his contract.

Close him down, and he's half the player. I have never seen him play well away from home
