Official Bin Dippers v CITY Thread

Highlight of the game for me was watching the game in a pub which had a unbelievably fit City fan in. She was the spit of Cheryl Cole, no pictures though sorry guys.

After the Liverpool goal it was all city, and its a measure of our expectations that were so pissed off with the point, when all in all you'll look back on this as a good result (not great considering liverpool's state). If we had put away the likes of Fulham and Burnley when we had the chance, we'd be happy right now, but there is an issue with both letting teams back into the game and defending set pieces.

As soon as Carlos came on it changed the game, and although shaun perked up in the last half hour, id like to see Tevez playing from the right because he comes so deep anyway. What was good to see though was Stevie pressing on and getting into advanced postitions, something we desperately miss when Barry and De Jong play in the middle.

All in all a good result considering how dire the first half was, and some of the best stuff weve played away from home after that opener.

Hopefully press and tv mention that lescott was good today, more likely they'll wait till he plays poor and ignore any gd performance.

Bellamy was disappointing today.
Shauny had a poor first 65 minutes.
Zabba was very poor as was Bridge.
Shay didn't have a great deal to do.
Lescott was quality, Toure did well before going off, Nedum made a couple of errors but was good to see him come back.
Barry.....did he play?!
De Jong was really good.
Adebayor did what strikers are paid to do and scored.
Stevie had a quietish game but had a good 2nd half, not M-O-M imo
Tevez did very well when he came on.
All in all it was a good result maybe tempered by disappointment at losing the lead yet again

people say ade and swp were terrible yet 1 of them scored and the other provided an assisst so not a bad contirbution imo.... also yes villa and tottenham who are above us haven't played again this weekend but we still have a game in hand.
Love the guy but untill Tevez came on he was poor that said we need 2 QUALITY fullbacks in Jan FACT

We appeared to be playing for a draw until Liverpool scored, from then on it was a much better game that we should have won except for yet another defensive cock-up.

Hughes knows what is wrong and I feel he will get it right if we all just stop over reacting.

Good point if we had beaten Fulham & Burnley but slightly disappointing in the end.

Totally agree with this.

We were certainly biding our time til Liverpool scored but definitely played some great football for a good period after that. Hughes needs to keep this formation cos its the best we've played with Tevez in the team (and he certainly helped change things). We certainly have to keep Stevie in the team week in, week out.

January- 2 new Full backs needed

Couldn't agree more, Bridge just can't defend and Zabs just dives in everywhere. We need to chop them in half and make an all round player out of the pieces :)

Bloody hell its started raining so my sky box has gone just as the horse racing about to start on channe 4 +1.
Digital tv is shit,i blame Hughes lol!!
