How can we be on the verge of signing him? Nothing has been reported in the press about it.

Ah the press, if they dont know about it, its never going to happen is it!

Perhaps business is just being conducted properly.

Wouldn't be suprised if City have gone in insisiting that nothing is to be released as city are the ones with the big purse. Dictating the negotiating protacols. Especially after the Kaka cockup.

Maybe that is why we didn't hear anything about Barry until the deal was done.

City have made no secret that they go into these details with signed confidentiality agreements.

Plus how quick were City to deny that we were in talks with Eto'o when it emerged we had been speaking to Barca trying to form ties. We're linked with players every day, so why dampen that one in perticular? Clearly didnt want a media circus whilst they were negotiating.

It all fits.

But not as good as Corradi, Samaras and Dickov. Ahhh... those were the days. Robinho, Eto'o and Tevez will never surpass those levels of performance.
