It sounds like Samuel has agreed to join City but won’t move until Barca honour their end of the contract – i.e. a golden handshake for loyalty

Stop thinking there is a vendetta against us - the conference was it spanish, it will need to be edited and translated. If they have the rights to show it they will when thats done ok.

I don't think EVERYONE has a vendetta against us, just the main station that everyone hangs onto for information. They soon reported yesterday that he had turned us down flat (within about 5 minutes of the story breaking) but 35 mins after the end of the news conference and there isn't a sniff.

Just wish we'd get a level playing field in terms of media coverage. There are a very small number of journo's who have reported this correctly, whereas talkshite, bbc radio 5, ssn etc only seem to be waiting for us to fall on our faces

How funny would it be if at 4pm his agent says Samuel will be in Manchester tomorrow for a medical.

2 things are obvious

1) He is close to signing and city want him for wednesday
2) The agent has decided to wait until the deal was close to drop this bombshell.

fair play to his agent he is playing a clever game. if we really want him for tomorrow someone needs to think of a way to give him his loyalty bonus..

if i was his agent i would be doing the exact same thing, this is why im not worried the transfer is over.

I think this is all just the game being played out. That's why nothing from City. They already know what is going on methinks.

I am now extremely confident that he is ours.

We can make it easier for Barcelona no doubt by making a contribution. Or take a fringe player off their hands as well and pay a little over the odds. Or offload one of our outbound players and Barca stump up the bonus. More than one way to skin a cat.
