official "i was a city fan before we got successful" thread

I have my ID membership card from 93/94 season with my photo on it at hand ready to whip out as soon as I hear those words "where were ......

I am 50 years old and I have supported City for more or less as long as I remember. That said, *originally*, I was a rag. I can't remember exactly, but I switched to City when I was about 6 because most of my mates were City fans.

i.e. I started supporting about 44 years ago. I have a horrible feeling I was a 6 year old glory hunter after we had just won the league!!!
 
I went to my first City game in 1975. But back then being a City fan was easy, great club, great stadium,recent european and domestic success, and a side packed with Internationals...I guess with hindsight I was a 5 year old glory hunter!

Its the fans that supported City post 1981, that have my eternal admiration, because they had nothing whatsoever to base there continued support on, other than blind faith, and the fact that supporting City just felt right!!
 
Been supporting city since 1997 but thus thread must make newer fans seem some what alienated....
 
I was watching city since 2009 and is the first club that i supported/care for'd. I joined this forum a couple of months ago.
