Keiren Westwood to Sheffield Wednesday on a two year deal - seen off by Willy?

Yup and that's his level. Some wanted him as a #2 to fulfill a quota, which would have left Joe realistically unchallenged. The club have made the right move here. Westwood coming back would have been a nice sentimental story (an actual City fan in the first team squad), but he's worthy of being our #3 at best.

Westwood turned down Manchester City to sign for the Owls

Keiran Westwood has revealed that he turned down Manchester City to sign for Sheffield Wednesday. The 29 year old Republic of Ireland goalkeeper revealed to Radio Sheffield’s Rob Staton that despite interest from the current Premier League champions, he signed for the Owls because he wanted to play regular first team football.

In other news, the Owls comfortably beat Bury 3-1 at the AJ Bell Stadium with goals from Jacques Maghoma, Atdhe Nuhiu and Giles Coke.
