Most bizarre signing of the summer. Made a mistake every time I watched Valencia last season.

Valencia fans couldn't wait for Barca to be this dumb. Apparently he also spent 3M of his own money to buy himself out because Barça wasn't going to budge on their offer.

Going from homeless street kid to a £40k a week celebrity is bound to cause havoc, but luckily he seems to have realised he made mistakes and is ready to knuckle down now. Good luck to him.

No coincidence that the United official twitter released the news as "up to €3m" and they even released that they have a 50% sell on clause. Not sure why an english club would say euros, other than to try and make out it's more than it is, much like the phrase "up to". Then to throw in the sell on clause reeks of trying to convince the world as to what a great deal they've done. I can't recall another club mentioning clauses in official announcements about players leaving. All the Portuguese reports are saying he's signed for next to nothing.

The SCUM are telling the truth - "up to €3m" includes the figure ZERO, so technically they are right.

I see the hand of Baconface in that particular press release!

I read that but I really can't envisage Everton paying that much. What's their previous record fee.
