Vermaelen to Barcelona confirmed. Just strange and bad purchase by Barcelona and spending £15m + 5m on add ons for 4th Arsenal CB choice and injury prone. Seems like they are again neglecting defence / underestimating it. Aging Mathieu for €20m on top of that who isn't that good and now injury prone Vermaelen for €20m also.

An already good and potentially the worldly CB we need to partner Vinny.

11 years ago the rags paid almost 30m for Ferdinand. imagine his value today in highly inflated market (plus englishmen status), can easily reach 45m pounds.

so 32m for a top defender like Mangala is nothing. if Baconface still around, he will pay the same price for Mangala. solid foundation at the back is the core for every great teams. attacking players winning you the game, but defensive players winning you the championship. with this signing, i hope we will win UCL, or treble this time.
