The where are the 21000 question can have many answers, mainly made up of travel problems, expenses, or plain can't be arsed going to a Europa League match.

I dont think like this, but I don't condemn anyone who decides against going to see that match last night, it is their perogative.
economic reasons for not going would be high on most peoples' list and it will be interesting to see how travel problems will decrease the further we go in the competition

i agree with the no condemnation, people are entitled to do as they please
although i do get vexed when certain 'fans' on here complain about not getting tickets for high profile games as they don't have the points

i have often thought that we should consider a loyalty points scheme for cup games separate to the league games so that those who do support the club in the earlier rounds get tickets to the later ones too

I never complain personally when I can't get tickets, but I never really struggle.

I know I can't get tickets for the high profile away games, but that doesn't bother me, I understand people have been to more away trips than me, and have earnt them.

I kind of agree about the loyalty points for the cups, but then again, I would rank someones loyalty more for going to all the London aways, than going to Timisoara at home.

Hope we get a good draw and there are some good fixtures lined up, hopefully a few good crowds and progress. Would love to get Napoli personally

111 and nearby blocks seem to do their bit. For me the problem is the South Stand. Pathetic.

I'd like to see CCTV evidence used against South-standers. Anyone caught refusing to sing in this designated singing section should be forcibly evicted in the way that non-families were evicted from the family stand.

The south stand isnt a singing section dickhead. Not everyone goes to a football match to 'banter' and sing. Some people just want to watch the football.
Its the lack of people willing to go to a shit tie, then expecting a ticket for the big games that pisses me off.

HAHA

I think he was being sarcastic my friend, CCTV used?!?!

I don't understand this 'people prioritise' shit about going to the Liverpool game so not being able to afford Europa games.

I can't afford every week so I have to pick and choose. For the price it would have been to go to the Liverpool game I can probably get to three Europa games! Seems a no-brainer to me. Go to one game or go to three. Surely people who have to pick and choose their games like me would be best off going to as many games as they can afford, ie the cheapest ones, and watching the expensive games on telly. Will get you more loyalty points too for when you can afford to go every week.

So for example you would miss the Scum game to go to 3 Euro games

no wonder the rags laugh at us we go on about being a big club haha don't make me fucking laugh, last night was a fucking joke the atmosphere was shit, the attendance was shit and some on here go on about ticket prices and beer, fuck off

if you live in the northwest and you did not go last night i question your loyalty to city, it goes to show for me how many hard core fans we actually have and it looks like there are no more than 25000 of us

who gives a shit who we are playing i would go and watch city play the dog and duck if they are at home simple as that, as someone said even villa had 30000

we the fans need to change our mentality or we will always be regarded as a small club by the likes of the rags etc and stop coming out with feeble excuses of no beer, shit opposition (like you go watch the oppo any way), board could not be arsed so why should we, needs to be cheaper a fucking fiver for kids (you cant get in the cinema for that you fucking tight minged fuckers), if you come out with any of this shit you are deluding yourself and looking for excuses that are not acceptable to any real hard core blue so stop and fuck off

if you live out of town you are exempt from this rant and if you are from out of town and made it to the game last night RESPECT

let us know and put the so called real mancs are blue brigade to fucking shame, and you lot start fucking turning up at this type of game as it is easy to turn up for big games any clown can do that
if we get to the final watch the loyalists go then clambering for tickets and moaning when they don't get one letting everyone know how big a fan they are, but in reality you aren't that big are you as you did not fucking go last night, if i was city i would give them to the lads and lasses who turned up last night if we make it to the final and fuck the rest of you[/qu
Oh dear, big blueballs is questioning the loyalty of about 20,000 people, fuck me,don't think i'll sleep tonight.
Whats all this 'feeble excuses' nonsense?
who needs an excuse?
I'm 48,do you think i'm gonna start explaining to a bit of a kid as to why i didn't attend...er...a football match?
Tell you what,i'll get my mother to write me a note like i did at school 30 years ago...............

Dear Mr big blueballs
Mr Saunders was unable to attend the game due to...etc etc etc

Infact everyone on BM should be required to send their reasons to big blueballs and woe betide anyone that doesn't have a valid excuse?
Can i ask how old you are and if you know Kiam?

These threads do my f*ckin' nut in.

Every game someone has to come on here and moan about attendances / atmosphere. I think a lot of people on this board have only started following the blues in the last couple of years or view Maine Road through rose tinted glasses. I remember countless cup games at Maine Road where it was half full and you could hear a pin drop, this is nothing new.

I've had a season ticket since i was 16. Watch approx half to two thirds of our home cup games and prob do about 8 aways a season. Not going to come up with some far fetched excuse that i was working my third job and had a 600 mile round trip and all the rest of it, cos i didn't. Tonight i just didn't fancy it. We were on Eurosport. The game wasn't that exciting and i fork out enough on city over the course of a season, thought i would watch it on telly for once. If you think that makes me less of a city fan you can f*ck right off.

I find that a lot of the people who go to these cup games go to them because they are cheaper than following city in the league. Fair enough, nothing against that, but to then come on this board and slag off fellow blues for not attending or complaining that the atmosphere doesn't match that of the league games is outrageous. And yes, if we do get to the final i would expect a fair crack at getting a ticket over someone who has just been to a handful of cup and league games.

Spot on

I go to every home league game and as many away as i can afford to and as many cup games i can afford to
