It is clear that something went on - that much is evident from Hughes's comments post-match.

If we are to break into that Top 4, we will have to do it the hard way.

However, we CAN defeat the inept (possibly corrupt) officials, the extra effort that teams put in against us, the minority of obnoxious so-called fans who have NOT got City's best interests at heart and contrive to pursue their own warped agenda, the jealous and bitter rival fans who point to our new found wealth, the despicable, biased media whores (bar a handful of fair minded ones) etc etc.

Not only CAN we defeat them all, each and every one of them, we WILL defeat them.

It may be this season.

It may be next season.

We WILL be rewarded.

You can rest assured of that.

CTID.

Agreed... for sure

But I have to say again, I'm appalled that any so called blue cannot be fuming big style if this is true, and would actually be attempting to justify the Refs comments as acceptable and somehow normal...and to be more concerned with using it as a pop against Hughes for also finding it unacceptable...

I agree 100% but little surprises me on this forum any more...

hardly a fact, its an opinion
we were poor today - Hughes diverts attention to refs same vs Hull & Burnley, a rather regular occurance then

Defence was as poor as usual, but the midfield & attack were top notch & the game was excellent...if I remember right, haven't we lost the last 5 games against Bolton? So today was a result then compared to what we've got in the past??

We beat them in the CArling Cup two years ago at their place.

But as an "Old Money" City fan, you'd know that, right?

This^^^^ is exactly what I am saying, and I cannot for the fuckin life of me, understand how any blue, regardless of how they feel bout Hughes, can even begin to think that if the claims are true...it is not a problem...
are you that obsessed with your dislike of our manager, that you are prepared to be so blinkered, to what would be such a disgrace that even neutrals would be appalled.

they were shocking decisions, but I can't see this as part of some conspiracy against us. he could easily have sent off sylvinho and be done with it. they fucked it up. the comments were inappropriate, but hardly proof of them victimising him.

we have had some dreadful decisions, but we've got away with a few as well. it's just too easy to say, ahh the ref's are all bent, that's why we aren't winning anything. hughes is upset, and rightly so. still should have done better in the game tho.

we're a good team and I hope we stop shipping goals left right and centre. when we do, we'll rocket up the table.

You really don't get the point..? who's sayin the ref's are all bent, that's why we aren't winning anything..?!!
I'm not sayin there's a conspiracy against us..!! or even blamin the officials for the draw, even though the 1st goal was offside...!
I'm assuming he didn't call Syvinho a bastard, so he's hardly gonna pick on him is he? But he clearly dislikes Bellers, so its a personal thing...obv that came into his thinking when he sent him off! of course he victimised him... why should we accept that..?

Fair does then. I think it's a grey area. at best the comments were inappropriate, and if there was any proof that he said them, he should explain himself. it does look bad for him that he sent bellamy off, but, still, unless he genuinely knew bellamy was fouled..... I just can't believe that's what happened, despite what he said, it seems more likely it was a mistake, at worst, that he didn't see it clearly and made his mind up too quickly. incompetance, stupidity, yep. demote him, yep, but he's done enough to get demoted by making the mistakes. the comments are a bit irrelevant to me.

TBH I think I lost the plot when MP's expenses were mentioned.

I think one or two of my staff are twats, treat them the same as everyone else though.

I just can't believe that refs up and down the country don't have similar conversations. If a player spent 45 minutes calling me every name under the sun I'd certainly mention it to my colleagues, and I probably wouldn't be complimentary.

Doesn't mean I'd try and send him off though.

Thats another good point away from home fair play to mark , I think will just about finish 6th whats wrong with that .

Give another 200 million and I reckon we can do 5th

If Bellamy was callin the ref evry name under the sun, he wouldnt have lasted anywhere near 45min...

you obv wanna defend the ref, and have a go at Hughes for complaining about the HT comments...
thats fine and you have every right to your opinion..!

Before I continue....were you there today/did you watch the game?

OK then felas - after reading through all 10 pages of this thread & what has allegedly been said today by a referee who undoubtedly had a very poor performance, its time for my two penneth!

I was at the match today, & the bellamy incident happened right in front of me, so I got a clear view of the foul (and it was, no doubt about it), and also where Mr Clattenburg was. My point at the time was that he couldn't have possibly seen the incident well enough from his vantage point, to make a clear decision that Bellers had dived. Therefore, his deision to give him a yellow card (especially in light of the fact that he knew it would be his second & he'd therefore have to send him off), was scandalous! Really, really poor refereeing!

However, I would be more surprised if there was an allegation over an overheard conversation in which the referee had said how much he liked Craig Bellamy! Fuckin hell, he's a twat! We know he's a twat, he himself know's he's a twat! It always has been & always will be a part of his game to get under the skin of anyone not wearing the same coloured shirt as him (be that the opposition or the officials) & it is in fact why we hated him before he came to the club & love him now he's here! Cos he's OUR twat! I can guarantee you, every single official, when seeing a teamsheet bearing the words Craig Bellamy has the thought "oh fuck, I'm in for it today" go through their minds.

Now, the officials are completely within their rights to not only think this, but to also discuss it between themselves if they so wish. The thing that they've done wrong today is discuss it outside the confines of their own dressing room. They have acted in an unprofessional manner, but I don't think it suggests corruption on their part, just a little naivety!

If people's problem is that officials dislike Craig Bellamy, I would suggest you might want to get over it pretty quickly, because I guarantee you, they all fucking do! And god bless him for that!
