This took me back! My two wheel adventures started in 1974 with a Lambretta LI150 (I've got an old GoldWing Aspencade and a VFR800 these days). I took the Lambretta to Macspares (it was in Failsworth) and was stunned when I was presented with a bill way over £30 when I went to collect it. I told him he could keep it because I couldn't afford to pay that! After a long list of things he'd replaced he agreed to swap some of then back (including new tyres back and front) and I got it back for around half the original price if I remember correctly but still with an MOT.My uncle had a shop called 'mac spares' back in the 80s.
I think it was in Royton or Failsworth.
Love the old goldwings, proper old school over the top honda engineering, in a good way. This took me back! It's been on SORN for the last few years, needs a new front tyre, fuel system cleaning and a new battery but I haven't been in the best of health over the last couple of years and I'm not really strong enough to heave it around these days!Love the old goldwings, proper old school over the top honda engineering, in a good way.
Let's have a pic mate
That's a fabulous bike mate, a real shame its not being used as its a proper mile muncher. Yeah I imagine they are a beast to move about. As I get older I find I'm riding my rd 350 a lot more than my litre bikes as its just so easy to manage a light bike. It's been on SORN for the last few years, needs a new front tyre, fuel system cleaning and a new battery but I haven't been in the best of health over the last couple of years and I'm not really strong enough to heave it around these days!
