Oleks Zinchenko - 2018/19 Performances

We’ll probably buy a leftback this summer, but after a game like this, it makes you wonder if we should keep Zinch over Mendy. Brilliant performance today
 
Can only presume he's performed well in training recently and Pep thought 'ya know what, he deserves this' - and I guess he did!

Like someone said above, everything just seems to have clicked into place, like he's finally learned the role, and presumable Pep & co. would see that in training.
 
He would have struggled against taller and more physical teams- Everton would have put Calvin-Lewert up against him and clobbered him, as they did Laporte- but in such games his composure, technique, and first-time passes are priceless. Won his fair share of headers tonight, too.
 
Had a really good game and the least worst choice for left back IMO. Does lack a yard of pace but looks better with every game. He doesn’t seem to be made of glass either.

Chilwell or Tierney would be great. Grimaldo and Ghoulam too injury prone. Haven’t seen much of Firpo. Zinchenko could turn out to be a Kimmich type of fullback, was outstanding today
