How is Pep not fully convinced? I bet all of us here would love Foden to have had as many minutes as Zinchenko.
Was Zin the only available left back for the Chelsea match? If the answer was, no we could have played Danilo,Delph or Laporte instead then that clearly makes Pep convinced enough.
Mate, I said "seems" not "is", I was trying to evaluate Zin's squad situation. You may also have missed my post 1 page back.
I was NOT talking about the line-up for Chelsea and Pep's faith in him for that match, but about Zin's future at City.
We don't have much info, only some indications.
But unlike Foden or Gundogan, Pep never said Zinchenko has a great future at City or has to extend his contract.
Why not? Maybe there is some reason for that.
And Foden? Just 19 and played 755' minutes this season vs Zin's 1,085' aged 22,
on an AM position behind the likes of KDB, David, Bernardo and Ilkay.
At LB we have seen a horrible Danilo display at N'castle, an English captain who has gone miss - what about Delph?? - and Laporte,
who doesn't have Zin's midfield accuracy which Pep was addressing vs Chelsea (besides covering Higuain).
And you?
Are you 100% convinced Zin and Txiki will extend the contract for 3-5 years?
I'm not. Not more, not less.
Much ado about nothing.
