He did some excellent work in that regard today. Overall, he dd far more good work than bad but it's the few poor moments that people will focus on.
He did, but he also had some brutal giveaways. Against a better side he could’ve been responsible for a goal or two, he needs to eliminate that or he won’t be playing. It’s just the reality of it.

His worst game for City imo. Gave tge ball away far too many times. But I doubt he will have another like today for a long while.

To add a different perspective for the sake of it, his role in our build ups was as good as I've seen.

That's fair comment and he looks very good against most teams. But, sadly, he is not a top class defender and will be found out against the top teams. He has already made big mistakes in the games so far but luckily we have not been punished...that will not be the case against a Barca or a Juventus in the really big matches. I don't want to single him out as Otamendi can also make bad errors at crucial times.

I obviously want City to be the best and win the biggest trophies but deep down I honestly feel we are gonna come up short against the top teams in the crucial games if we have Zinchenko and Otamendi in the back four.

Mendy will be first choice when he comes back and gets up to speed

That would seem logical seeing as Mendy was signed as a fullback and Zinchenko is a midfield player filling in .

Olex didn't have his best game today but he has done pretty well in the role overall.

Zinchenko didn’t have the best of games, true, but he wasn’t helped by players frequently passing to him when he was already closed down and then watching said players stand still and fail to make an angle for a return pass.
