I suppose in theory there does have to be a worst player in the squad, even if that player is really good.

Although anyone's who's ever been on this forum should know by now that it is Gundogan and Walker who are not only the two weakest players in the squad, but in the club's 125 year history too.

Id say that Zinchenko is the worst player in the squad. Doesn't mean hes shit. Shows how good our squad is.

Is he the worst player in the entire squad.? The only use for his right leg is to stand on.He has never used it to kick a ball and his lack of vision when we are going forward brings our attacks to a halt whilst he looks back for someone to pass too generally another defender putting us under pressure

FFS he has played out of postion for 2 plus years in which time we hav won everything domestically and smashed every record,pep loves him so he can't be that bad

Hes a good player just not quite good enough to be a regular for us when everyone is fit at left back and with laporte out not only does he offer very little going forward but he gets exposed defensivley. Mendy and angelino may not be great defensivley but i think there attacking attributes make up for it and can really be useful for us as our left side is very narrow with sane being injured.

He has put beautiful balls in,just the other week he did that for the pre assist for 2 goals,i'm not convinced by any of our lb's,it's ok that they offer much going foward but aren't great defensively right now for pep but when he leaves it might not be great for the next manager,no manager will play exactly the same after all,we might end up with 3 of them and non are all rounders,with eric out that left side is so exposed,right now we could do with a lb that can defend as well!

Honestly you could say that about our whole defence apart from laporte. Im not saying zinchenko is incapable of putting balls in but when he plays we look very narrow with angelino and mendy we have another weapon we can used on teams that park the bus. All the top fullbacks nowadays aren't really good at defending at it either. Generally you either get one who is good defensivley but offers nothing going forward or the other way round.

Should only play against cannon fodder before being sold next summer. Definitely not good enough for us. Laporte covered for him alot

Not at our level. Nice player, nice person but not City level.

He’s an excellent utility player but I suspect he isn’t quite good enough to be first choice in any of the positions he can play.
