Onuoha & Ireland + £15m for Milner

would be a shit deal. If we wanted to get rid off Ono and Ireland then we should sell them separetly. Onuoha 7m, Ireland 9m and plus that proposed 15m would give us a transfer kit of 31m which would buy us much more than Milner.

Without the money I would jib at that deal. Tell him to fuck off. Rather keep Ireland and Onouha and do without Milner.

Ireland in a straight swap would be fair as i think they are pretty much at the same level. Both had one great season and the rest has been potential. But Milners great year was last season wheras Stevies was the season previous. Therefore We will pay through the arse for a player similar to one we already have.

On the basis of recent form Ireland + £5m would be fair. Ireland and Ned + £5M is MORE than fair. So the proposed Ireland and Ned + £15M for Milner is bollocks of the highest order and we should tell them to smoke monkey pole.
Agreed. Like Milner, but that deal is crazy. We're being taken for a ride.

IMO Ireland is as good if not better than Milner.

If it was a straight swap or even Onouha + Ireland for Milner (given that he's English and therefore way overpriced) I'd say it's a fair trade BUT I'd still prefer to keep Ireland.

I'll be well pissed off with Mancini if he gets rid of Ireland fullstop to be honest.

For me.. Ireland Out = Mancini Out!!!

Really? Let me ask - would you start Ireland ahead of Silva?

If Ireland goes, I'll be distinctly unchuffed, as I think he can be a wonderful player. However, you can see how this deal would suit all parties, especially if Nedum & Stevie are still longing for first-team starts.

All this talk of 'value' and getting 'bent over' is a wee bit moot, though. I'm sure Mancini, Cook et al are capable of evaluating how much Milner will bring to the team. Plus we're faaaacking loaded, innit.

I think this is a great deal for us and for them. I like Ireland but think it would be unfair to watch him on the bench so let him go Villa. I'm not Onuohas biggest fan but with the homegrown player rule maybe we should keep him even if he is shit.
How can you think Nedum is crap?

we dont need this type of player now we have yaya, ndj, barry. we need an attacking creative player. weather it be stevie or not.

I can see why City want Milner he's versatile, young, english, 100%er very decent player, but to offer 2 players and cash is a joke!!! Straight swap for SWP will do! Ireland will go to Liverpoo imo..

People seem to forget that Ireland's value has dropped because of the mysterious illness he collapsed with. There is no way any club will pay over £5-7m for Ireland because there was no conclusive result from all the tests which he recieved.

Move on RM, Milner is just a good Prem player. If SI sorted himself let him prove it with us, Ned is more difficult, if he stayed fit he would be top class

-- Wed Jul 07, 2010 11:33 am --
