Open Letter on Season Tickets and Pricing | Club announce price freeze on "general admission season tickets & PL match tickets" for next season (p163)

sir kevbin OBN has been rightly dumped by canal street blues for trying to form a break away group and staging an attempted coup to make the group more "heterosexual".

A daft idea like making Didsbury blues more Eton Tankers, more concerningly it was "reported" hints of racist homophobic and transphobic tweets to a person I trust about the reason for a split , as yet unpublished . Sounds plausible.

When I was chair of CSB I asked Sir OBN to reflect on the fact he rigged the first elections with city staff to get voted on to the inital city matters he won 200 + votes the other candidate 7000 + an indian guy. Racism comes in may guises

Like trump Johnson truss korbyn some people have zero self awareness and maximum sence of entitlement .

When I discussed with Danny Wilson and Omar in an hour long exit meeting exit after I left CM partly because of Kevin's duplicitous behaviour (you know the stuff agreeing with CM then doing the opposite with the club) the election rigging dishonesty, destroying trust and credibility of CM their response was so what difference would it make?

As they say power corrupts total power...you know the ending......he's held back the OSC for a decade and its a shame for all the regular members.
I know you have an agenda against Kevin Parker and I can't comment on that because I don't know the facts. I have got a mate who says there are three truths to every event and i guess that's life. we can't get on with everyone.

I do know what you are calling racism is akin to when the angling magazine ran a campaign to make an angler Sports Personality of the Year and it was rightly quashed.

I hardly know Kevin but he works seven days a week to help fellow Blues. The OSC is doing just fine from what I can see. Some of your comments look, from a distance, to be very nasty.

I hope the other posters who contributed to this pile on are proud of themselves.

My lad is desperate to start going to more matches. Last year was a nightmare getting individual matches tickets (we got 0) and I expect it will be the same this year.

I've reached the point that if they don't release new season tickets for next season and give people a reasonable chance to get them I'll give up mine and watch on the tellie with my family.
Me and the missus had premium seats L2 East stand. Reluctantly gave them up years ago.

I feel we were forced out 2013/14 (I think) which was the year they introduced the 93:20 club/bar and the prices rocketed, frankly the club didn't want us there (IMO) . I love City (still do) and have supported them since 68/69 but the greed of City and football in general has really taken the gloss off for me.

For me Football died in May 2012. I will never ever experience anything like that again and am not inclined to spend an absolute fortune on it anymore. I do take in the odd game each season.

General question what happens if you turn to another age group soon after the season starts. Do you continuing paying the concession or normal rate for that season

Pretty sure that your age on August 1st determines your age bracket for the whole season ahead.

Away games and Wembley will differ though. It’ll usually be your age on the date of the game. But each club will have their own rules.

but close up they are dammingly accurate evidence based and facts not nasty

Tim of the Oak a question,

are you now the BM subject matter expert on what qualifies for racism, based on angling times quest to win a sports personality award?

If so IMO I think you have more work to do to achieve such greatness but as as goffman said we all have a front and back stage if I have underestimated both SirK OBN and yourself. Happy to be corrected

My agenda is not anti Sir Kevbin it's pro proper independent fan representation

something the OCS has failed to do for many year's because it's run as one man ticket agency when it needs to be a team effort based on participation, transparency, accountability, ability, skills, shared values. Even the yanks get rid of the president after two terms why are the OSC stuck with a fossil in charge ?

Like the current city team held back by daft decisions by the manager and a group of ageing individuals who cant perform but we're great in their day . Refom or fall is the order of the day . If they can change so can the OSC so hope springs eternal

Thanks for posting this letter to Khaldoon.
As the 7 supporter groups rightly point out, enough is enough.
The minimum from the club should be a price freeze for all season tickets 2025/26 season.
But I honestly think that supporters will be ignored once again.
The only other thing that I will mention is that I'm sure you have said previously is that the club has assured you that there are no plans to reduce/ stop concession rates for over 65s, which is what Spurs, Arsenal and also Brighton are planning to do.
So let's hope they keep to their word.
They have noticeably increased concessionary prices though. In some cases marginally less than a full adult price

Kevin Parker had written out to members and the OSC supported the letter as part of City Matters. Congrats to Alex on his role in getting the letter written etc.

Changing the subject. There’s been two very negative threads against the OSC on here in the last few days. If there is a concerted campaign against OSC on here (not you John) it’s a bit sad, really and I hope it ends better than the last attempt lol.

There's one signature and one badge missing from the letter.

Instead of supporting the letter via City Matters, the OSC should have directly supported the letter via their signature and their badge.(or is that copyrighted to City, and requires permission from City, even for the OSC to use? ) Not by using City Matters as a shield.

Where’s the evidence that the first CM vote was rigged? Not saying it was or wasn’t but that’s hell of an accusation
Part of the issue is how intransparent the entire process is isn't it, specifically a completely opaque shortlisting system and that we never see number of votes.

Is that your best John? How meaningful would the OSC's contribution to City Matters be if 7,000 Indians would vote for your mate when we don't have that many Supporters Club members in India. I assume you are a keen subscriber to the Angling Times.

I'm pretty sure the OSC Committee gets elected / re-elected based on the AGMs I attend each year. I've nothing against change if that would improve the OSC but I think it's pretty good as it is. I hope it's more successful at succession planning than City Matters. Were you replaced by a Chelsea fan and what difference did it make?
You may have done great things on City Matters like the excellent Alex has tried to do.

Anyway, I hope the campaign for fairer ticket prices is a success. Credit to Alex and co for their efforts.

I think we need a badge counting thread as well as a seat counting thread.

Ps sometimes I don’t qualify tough on me put people above me qualify in their own right so I can’t moan but I can when people get tickets through supporters clubs for Some it may even be their first game ever put that ticket and taken away from somebody that qualifies it stinks
I share your frustration and have previously suffered for the same reason.

However, there are plenty of individuals who also qualify for a ticket and then pass them on to somebody who doesn't.

I mentioned it after the Bratislava match, but it was noticeable from the replies that nobody really has a problem with this. Different story when OSC Members are accused.

I’m in my 60s. My dad and his best mate, who became his brother in law, started going in the 1950s. Dad took me, I took my much younger sister. We still go, along with our sons in their 20s. We have season tickets. But I think that will be the last generation. I’ve small grandchildren who come occasionally but the chances of them getting a season ticket and carrying on the tradition is highly unlikely. Too expensive, too difficult to organise seats together. And tbh, I don’t know whether I’d want them to get ‘bitten’ like we did. Probably better off supporting a smaller team.
This saddens me and to be honest this isn’t isolated. I can’t get my kids season tickets now so we’re a family limited to just 2 season tickets between 6 of us. Not only is fan culture being eroded the matchday experience is too. Yes the club can sell tickets to anyone at a premium price due to having in excess of 100,000 members but many of these members are neutral, sports clubs and schools with no connection to the club. The family stand is the example of this and European nights are awful because of it.

I think before we send a letter to the chairman pertaining to represent all fans we should actually ask the fans what their main concern is. Season ticket holders are a small minority of our fans base , the ability to buy individual match tickets and not be rejected while they spring up on re seller sites with no criteria is a much bigger barrier to the legacy fan base. Strangely the upper echelons of the supporters groups who are all likely season ticket holders choose to ignore that and send a letter to the chairman asking for a reduced price of season tickets next season

With all due respect mate, it's not hard to count 1 badge, when you know which badge (and which signature) is missing from the letter.
I’ve no idea how the badges for the letter were collated. You seemed to give the impression that Kevin and the OSC weren’t supporting the letter. Anyone can make a genuine mistake.

To be fair Uwe, we've been discussing the price of match tickets more than the price of season tickets. And the sale of home tickets. And the allocation of away tickets. But you do have a point.
