Open Letter on Season Tickets and Pricing | Club announce price freeze on "general admission season tickets & PL match tickets" for next season (p163)

The club used to take great care with cultivating fan relationships, now it seems they think the trophies they've delivered gives them the right to not give a crap and become a soulless corporation. It's gross and further to the point, i don't like how pep seems happy to call out the atmosphere but never his boys role in making it that way,. Would love, love, love someone to ask him about the open letter in a presser.

Email Sly Stone(Rag!) at BBC United - Mediacity.

He'll ask that question for you.

They shouldn't be auto generated, check the persons match going history first.
I have over 33000 points, attend home and away to all matches,I missed the home match against Fulham due to a hospital diagnosis and got sent a email as I had failed to transfer it on.
It's not rocket science to build into your systems, different scenarios.
Of course they should check, but they don't give a shit. Someone with 33k points should be given a huge amount of leeway, as should fans who rarely miss home games.

It is significant.

For the sake of argument say it is “just” £1m.

That’s £1m every year until the end of time.

Then they put it up by the same next year. So it doubles.

Then the year after that.

And after that.

It’s compound interest, it sounds small but over a long period of time yields enormous numbers.
City can argue about £1m here and there in every transfer discussion they have. Instead of paying £56m for Cambiasso in the Summer, we can pay £54m and could freeze season ticket prices for two years.

Instead of the wage structure we have, we could have given every player £641 a week less than they’re on and we’d have saved £1m a season.

We once sold Nigel de Jong, who’d just come off the back of being the best Netherlands player at the Euros, for £4m. We let others like James Milner and David Silva run down their contracts and leave for free. We’ve spent tens of millions on dross from Scott Sinclair, Maicon, Jack Rodwell, Wilfred Bony, Eliaquim Mangala, Fernando, Nolito, Patrick Roberts, bought Angeliño back, Benjamin Mendy, Kalvin Phillips and Matheus Nunes…

City cannot be that bothered about £1m a season.

Absolutely no flexibility in price at all across the entire stadium.

Where the views are shit, there are no £30 tickets on the back rows Level 3 or front rows of Level 1, and no £40 tickets behind the goals… just £71-£88 everywhere (even if you can’t see the ball or the players’ feet from the other side of the pitch low down or are so far back you feel completely detached from the occasion).

Those children’s prices are fucking disgusting! I don’t know of any 8 year old kid with a job, so how can City justify £43-58 for children?

It should make the national News, with them saying how out of order City are for charging those prices. Our boardroom needs embarrassing. Why do the media go after us in other respects, yet where City really are wankers, they get a free ride?!

I’m sure they are auto generated but I’ve tried calling the club on more than one occasion and they never pick up the phone. Either way, I’m done. It’s not like they actually care. I’ll be grateful to be done going to city, never thought I’d say that.
You should contact Howard Cohen, who's the City Matters rep for disabled fans.

However, there are huge disparities in concessions' costs and season ticket prices, to the extent that it's a complete mess that no one can comprehend.

It’s as though someone said, "Fuck it, just charge that," when it came to match day tickets, as if they had lost control after tampering with season tickets too much.

I’ve been a season ticket holder since 2010 and born a blue. Love the team on the pitch but as someone with MS, I don’t need the club threatening me about not turning up when I can’t physically make the game at the last minute. I won’t be renewing for next season and at this point, in my opinion, the club can go fuck themselves.
City are just some corporate organisation now. They aren’t a football club for the local community of Manchester and surrounding areas any longer. They might as well drop ‘Manchester’ from the club’s name, call themselves FC Moon City and travel the world for every match. Then they wouldn’t have to worry about missing out on £300 when a season ticket holder is too poorly to relist their ticket or what the people of Manchester think about owt.

They do not give a single fuck about us anymore. We are just £€$£ figures now.

They have provided a spokesperson’s statement when invited to by BBC Radio Manchester and the Blue Moon Podcast, but nothing formally in response to our letter.

Cheers for sharing this mate.

The club don’t give one solitary flying fuck about the fans. It’s become increasingly clear and it’s sad to see.

I guess us legacy fans wanted the trophies but had to sign a deal with the devil in order to see it happen.
