OS: David Platt joins City [Merged]

His first Q&A at a City's supporter's club meeting should be interesting . I wouldn't mind being there .
No doubt he'll deny a lot of what he has said in the past .

The line should have been drawn before GENUINE RAG LEGENDS like Hughes, Cole and Schmeichel joined the club.

After watching Hughes rape the club, I'd see Neville captaining the club as a huge improvement.

Usually have time for your posts but this is frankly ridiculous. Regardless of his ragdom Hughes treated this club with respect and handled himself with dignity. Platt has done nothing but disrespect this club over many years and his allegiance to the rags is worn proudly, neither accusation could be levelled at Hughes. I'm going to have to bite the bullet and leave it at that on his past utterings because he is RM's choice but you can fuck right off if you think you can shut me up from passing an opinion on his past coaching and managerial record which is truly awful. And if he's been employed as a conduit to the players for language reasons then I'd just point you at the unrest he caused at Forrest. After the bile spilled in the direction of Hughes, it's fucking bizarre that people are getting so uppity defending this appointment which, although I hope it doesn't, could well be the single most disruptive decision to our chances of success possible.
Platt is not only disliked by our supporters but by the footballers who've had the displeasure of working with him. You think the Elano/Hughes shit was distasteful?, just fuckin wait!

Let's agree to disagree. I'm sorry I said anything to be honest.

In reality, 99% of the fans at COMS will be behind the team whilst people on here are slating players, managers, coaches etc so let's just leave it.

I'm completely out of step with the majority of this board nowadays and I can't be bothered arguing the toss.

If Platt fucks up then get rid but to want him to fuck up is tempting fate and anti City.

Pretty sure if Hughes had appointed him the same posters would be creaming themselves.

Besides, everyone backed Mark 10th Place Hughes over his beef with Elano so I'd expect the same people to back Platt if he wants rid of Silva for no reason.

That is quite possibly the most ridiculous thing i have ever read on this site....Platt is another venables ffs
I give up, but when this twat has caused untold problems and disruption to the club i hope you`ll have the guts to apologise.

Like i'd expect you to apologise if we go on to win things in the near future..........

I'll bow to your expertise on the differance between management and coaching as you seem to know a lot about it.

I'll await these untold problems were going to be inundated with aswell.......what a shit time to be a City fan eh?
Time will tell my friend but i`ve never felt so disgusted by an appointment at city before, i feel sick about this but my love for city is greater than my hatred for platt(just) i fear the job has just got harder for mancini. Lets hope he realises before he loses his job.

Will this club never learn to stop shooting itself in the foot.
Platt is a known City hater and has been openley opposed to what our current owners are trying to do.
Why on earth should we give this loser a job.
It really does grate that we have employed this wanker who in my opinon is an odius little fat twat, who is dispised by the vast majority of City fans.
Normally I fully support everything the club do but can not do on this occassion. The guy is a knob.

Mancini is the boss and he's the one that lives or dies by results so if he trusts Platt with his own job then he's got my support...........time will tell.
By the way Lombardo is also coming onboard.........are you ok with him being part of the team or do i have to give you the number for Samaritans?

-- Thu Jul 01, 2010 11:33 pm --

Lombardo's record as a coach:
In 2006, he was appointed manager of Swiss side FC Chiasso. He resigned in May 2007, citing lack of motivation.

On April 2008 he was appointed at the helm of Tuscan Serie C2 club Castelnuovo. He stayed at the club for the remainder of the season, leading the small Tuscan club to escape relegation through playoffs. He then was in charge of Lega Pro Prima Divisione club Legnano for the 2008–09 season but did not manage to save his side from relegation.

Lombardo was appointed in July 2009 as new head coach of Spezia in the Lega Pro Seconda Divisione, but unexpectedly resigned later on October despite his team being in third place in the league table
.

What's that phone number for the Samaritans?

somebody, for the love of god, find me one quote, one clip, where he has slagged us off? If you're going to make such a big fuss about this appointment, if grown men, supposedly (!) sensible posters are going to call him a dickhead for the things he's said, then at least back it up with something.

They hung up on me.
I cant give my support to mancini, he`s finished in my eyes. I support the players but not mancini , all he`s done is get his unqualified mate a job.He should be an M.P.
