Itd be the brunt of many a joke, that's for sure. That's why I hope Mangala stays, with Denayer going on a loan to play every week. Plenty of matches for Kompany, Mangala, and Otamendi here with the latter two's injury record.

If it does indeed turn out he's coming to us then I will be bitterly disappointed for a few reasons. Firstly I think Mangala is younger and having only been at the club 12 months deserves a chance to show he can cut it. Beyond that I think it will be a knee jerk reaction to a poor season and isn't really the sort of thing I'd associate with Txiki and the people who run City - or indeed from Pellegrini. They are in my eyes much more forward thinking than to make a call like this. Finally, as others have said, if we are going to give up on Mangala, then I would MUCH rather we went after John Stones than any other centre half in Europe. But then if we're swapping Mangala for Otamendi it's because we want a ready made centre half rather than a young player with potential.

Still think this is all smoke and mirrors and we aren't going to touch our back 4 this summer but I can't ignore the noises coming out of Spain.

Or the most successful teams realize when they have made errors and react accordingly. Another year of last season's shaky fence means another season with no silverware. In 12 months not sure what he has shown other than he is a very expensive Dedrick

As for who to ship out, I'll definitely prefer it to be Demi, he's solid but running on what should be his last year regardless. It'll be difficult though, no club that can pay what he's paid here wants him, and the clubs that actually want him can't pay him nearly as much.

The club want 2 players for every position. MDM is getting on. It's a replacement for him I can't see Mangala going anywhere. MDM will be gone in January of this is true.

I think it'll be Fernando for obvious reasons, but dinho was linked with Valencia all summer which is a slight worry for me.
