Other fans reactions to the CL loss against Chelsea

I've been sneered at in the street for wearing my City shirt this week. But regardless of Saturday's result, people fucking hate us more than Millwall and Leeds combined. It's been that way for over a decade and it's only intensifying.

The day we won the CAS appeal, #cheats started trending on Twitter. Tells you everything you need to know.

I think it's just a case of you losing a big final that meant a lot to you. I was obviously quite young when we lost the CL final 13 years ago but I got the exact same reaction from random people if I dared to venture outside in my Chelsea top.

I was getting bantered by the bloke who was working the till in the supermarket when we lost the FA Cup final a few weeks ago just because he noticed the Chelsea keyring hanging off my set of keys. He supports a team just relegated to the third tier.

I'm not sure it is people hating City, I personally rarely come across people who hate City. In fact most people I meet prefer City winning the title compared to Liverpool or United.

Exactly, we've still had the best season out of all the 92 league clubs, so just fuck em all. If we hadn't have won the league I could accept the criticism, but we pissed it in the end so fuck em

If we had to lose to an English team then I'd rather it was Chelsea. I've got some good mates who are Chelsea fans and they were gracious in victory.

I know fans of Leeds, Everton, Leicester, Newcastle, Coventry that wanted us to win, some family Rags too.

Only Liverpool cultists, a few rags and for some reason Celtic fans piped up after the defeat.

Nice one. Been making a point of wearing my City tie in work this week. I especially do it after any defeat. I always tell ‘em it’s easy to wear your colours when you’ve won.

Mansour rolls up at City, spends a load, only become disliked when we won something.

Chelsea win a few more titles, everyone forgets their spending.

The only way it will subside is when another club wins the league on the the back of heavy investment from certain regions of the world. We might then become accepted like Chelsea!
