More to the point, clearly people care about City, and not all negatively. I meet plenty of people who are pleased for my ‘success’ as a City supporter in middle-age; especially when they find out about my stripes as a blue. Before this season been to every major, decisive game (apart from the ‘81 FA Cup Final Replay) since 1981.An awful lot of words for someone for someone who, “doesn’t give a fuck”.
I’m a grammar Republican Fascist Party to your grammar Nazi. I’ll be quite as punctilious; but you’ll doubtless be better dressed than me...Hazard? Hmmmm...,
I live in Leeds and TBF virtually every Leeds fan I have spoken to has sympathised with me and said that they were gobsmacked when they heard the team selection.
Genuine football fans understand the game and understand what has made City tick this season.
Abramovich rolled up at Chelsea, spent a load of money, everyone disliked them when they won something.
Mansour rolls up at City, spends a load, only become disliked when we won something.
Chelsea win a few more titles, everyone forgets their spending.
The only way it will subside is when another club wins the league on the the back of heavy investment from certain regions of the world. We might then become accepted like Chelsea!
George's Chippy?Had some incredible fish and chips in Long Eaton last week. Never been an easy town to run a pub. Long history of failed pubs and bars in that town. Could see it becoming gentrified one day. Cheap, decent housing and very well situated. Town centre could be made really attractive with a huge influx of investment.
Wouldn’t mind but the fuckers couldn’t even sell 6,000 tickets .....wankersNever seen so many Chelsea shirts in ramsgate these last few days. Guess it was to be expected.
Great post mate and congratulations on your Champs League success. Thoroughly deserved victory, sadly.I think it's just a case of you losing a big final that meant a lot to you. I was obviously quite young when we lost the CL final 13 years ago but I got the exact same reaction from random people if I dared to venture outside in my Chelsea top.
I was getting bantered by the bloke who was working the till in the supermarket when we lost the FA Cup final a few weeks ago just because he noticed the Chelsea keyring hanging off my set of keys. He supports a team just relegated to the third tier.
I'm not sure it is people hating City, I personally rarely come across people who hate City. In fact most people I meet prefer City winning the title compared to Liverpool or United.
