Outside Maine Road...6th November 1971....3-3 Derby Day Pictures

Also anyone remember check shirt jackets from Stolen from Ivors
I still have a stolen from ivors bag, found it the other day when moving some stuff. I was taken aback with nostalgia when I seen it. Reminded me of the under market on Market street. Them pictures are nearly 50 years old, they seem like yesterday.

Days of genuine poverty
Everyone had fuck all then, we lived in Collyhurst flats in ‘71 we were poor but most people grafted and nobody had fuck all to nick from their houses. I remember a mate was the first to get a colour telly in 74 for the World cup in Germany, from Radio Rentals. Loved the 70’s but i suppse everyone thinks their youth was the best time to be alive.

Yes went to Ivors in the underground market, but there was another shop in there what we used as well, cannot remember the name, can any one remember. Loved my Docs, they were very important, the good thing was you could run in them, not like the boots what everyone used to have, which were banned, as they caused a lot of damage.

Did you have a Barathea as well with several buttons on the sleeve?

My star jumper had long sleeves but I couldn't find a photo of one.
Mine was long sleeved too, brown and beige. Barathea's were cool as fuck but I didn't have one, did have a smart budgie jacket though.
Prince of Wales check was my favourite of all, never had a full suit but the pants looked great with brogues.
