Overseas blues

Born in Manchester grew up in Timperley moved to Warrington when I got married and have lived in Barcelona for 5 years..try and get back for at least one game each season and watch the games with a group of Ex Pat city fans in the pub...not as good as the match....but a close second

Born in denton supported city all my life, was a ballboy at maine road every other week in the 70s and i had trials for four months , great experience, now live in france

Born Langley 1963, 1st game v Notts County in early 70s. It really kicked off for me in 75/76 when i was allowed to go to Maine Rd on my own,( My Dad was a Leeds fan)
Had the pleasure of watching Tony Books great team, we slugged it out with L/pool and Ipswich in 77/78. At the Ipswich game it was 1 each my mates left early to get Langley bus but i stayed and will never forget Dave Watsons thundering header to give us a 2-1 win.
Or the night match against L/pool, Maine Rd was packed to capacity, (even the uncovered sections) Some fella lifted me up to sit on the wall at the back of Kippax next to North stand. The sight and sounds that night were intoxicating. Joe Royle scored for us and if i remember right aCity own goal gave Lpool a 1-1 draw. We lost the league by a point that season.
Anyway moved to Ireland 12yrs ago, glad to report my 9 yr old is City Mad, manage to get to 4 or 5 games a season... next up L/pool in Oct.

Sorry for rambling on but it's my 1st post tho i've enjoyed reading all yours for months now.

Born in Oz, I have supported city for as long as i remember. Have three other brothers and we all decided to follow an epl team. I went city, one Chelsea, Spurs and Ipswich. We all dont know why why picked our teams but there you go. I have never been to see city play (costs etc) but i made a vow to myself that I would.

Well if everyone's first post was as good as that then all of this "Rag" bullshit would come to an abrupt end. Welcome.

Wow, Vancouver is number one on my travel destinations. I know many world travelers who rate Vancouver as one of their favorite places.

Born and living in Sweden and been a fan of Man City in the 70ties when Swedish tele started showing English football every Saturday... don't ask me why it was City that became my favorite team as i have forgotten about it... but then so many became Leeds or Stoke fans among the Swedish people and i wanted another team more off my style... working class heroes... since then i have always read anything that i could come over off City but living in Sweden that was very tough work doing so... but then last year it just became evident to me that i was a fool for not using Internet as i should have done 10 years ago... joining forums like this...

I know a few Blues on here who are constrained from posting their locations (regardless of [apparent] IP address). Although all born and raised around SE Lancs, they are presently working in various environments outside Blighty.

Anyway, the rest of you are all fake glory-hunting City fans, didn't you know? Shame on you ;-)
