P****d off with the so called ''Match day experience''

I know a lot of our singing fans want to have banter with the away supporters but what about everyone moving back into the Kippax together. I sit in the Colin Bell Stand with some great people but they are never going to sing. They just want to watch the match and turn up year after year after year. So no problem with them. If all the singers moved into the Kippax then they would permanently be on view for the TV games.

There's far too much expectation these days that we have to just turn up and we'll see our team win. Very recently, there's been a big dip on the pitch as well, our performances have become more laboured, back to the slow build up from last season. On that first half last night I lost count how many times our midfield, defence and Hart pass it about between each other. If we do that up the pitch then fine, but were creating a lot less lately because our play is as slow and laboured as it used to be.

This doesn't help atmosphere one bit, we didn't generate any excitement until 43mins, none what so ever. I can understand the fans getting a bit bored that way. You'd find if we were down 1-0 but piling pressure on the Liverpool goal, creating chances, getting decent shots in, attack attack attack, our atmosphere would be a lot better in getting our fans on the edge of their seats.

One good thing is we've stopped singing that "we'll score when we want" bollocks. I think we've realised that this season is going to be bloody difficult.

So in short, slow laboured performances on the pitch - shit atmospheres. Attacking performances, dominating the game creating chances - good atmosphere. They go hand in hand.

If city had've had the south stand last night It would have been a completely different experience for all and may have affected the result.

Letting them lot belt out YNWA towards the end of the game annoyed me more than the result.

All the fans who slag south stand should now look at themself, the south stand was not there last night so where was the east stand they didn't step up to plate (not famous any more) kippax how can you compare with that brill stand, so next time give the south stand a chance more away fan to level 3

To be perfectly honest I've fell out of love with the whole match day experience as well...now it's just like watching it on TV but instead you've got the cold weather/hugh ferris cheesefest etc. Barely anyone sings any more, if anyone does it's our little "Kippax corner" who try as they might don't out sing the away support which isn't their fault as at least they're trying to generate some atmosphere. Sadly the rest of the stadium has become somewhat like a morgue. Not having a go but I'm not bothering renewing my season ticket next year I'd prefer to go to a handful of away games instead so then you're at least guaranteed a good atmosphere. Season ticket holder for 6 years and it's sad but I completely agree with everything the OP says and that's why I won't be renewing next year.

Awaits "good riddance" and "f**k off then" comments :)

Its a shame mate! but as I have said in the OP there are alot of older blues season ticket holders who are thinking just like you and me who are fucked off they way we do things at City, I never thought I would be even thinking like this let alone posting on a forum about it us as fans! there have been so many posts on this website in the past saying how shit the crowds were half empty stadium only a couple of years back! PSG comes to mind! and I can tell you this its was not much fun sitting in empty rows of seats WAS the shit crowd attendance last night down to the way our team are playing is it fuck, there is more to it! the price yes you could say that, but 10,000 less! then sunday! there has got to be more to it if you get a buzz out of anything you will go back for more simple as! as alot of fans are not getting it we are watching a team that are top of the best footballing league in the world like I said the best football I have ever seen and if you think I just a moaning **** then you could not be farther from the truth! I was watching the game with Palace the night before ours and the atmosphere sounded great and most came from a similar size corner of there ground like ours, and the Cardiff fans were a good way from there section, yes i get the ground is half the size of ours!! but you could say that we have double the amount of fans in ours!!! Fuck knows what the stadium will be like in 5 to 10 to years time!

Palace have an ultras group called HF05, that's why it was so loud. They work with the club to get everyone with the same mentality sat(stood) together and help with the banners and tifo(I think it's called that).

I despise that pre match stuff. It's ok when there's bands but the other week there was some embarrassing little boat race. I felt like I was at some gypo fair or Blackpool.

I walked into the ground to escape the cheese festival and went to the concourse. It was on all the TV's in the concourse so I went to my seat escape that too. I got to my seat and it was on the fucking big screens and the volume was ramped right up!!!

I felt like I was at a nursery not a match!

What was the man with the megaphone saying?

I found last night a dreadful empty experience...zero atmosphere, empty seats and dare i say it a feeling of impending gloom and a realisation that we might end up with nothing at the end of the season, the only good thing was the abscence of the awful 'we score when we want' chant.

Some of the stuff that goes on at City Square is quite frankly embarrassing.

I recently sent an email to City about that gurning idiot 'Danzone Fanny'

''Dear Manchester City,

I am writing to express my annoyance of the club’s employment of ‘fanzone danny’

Not only is it extremely embarrassing to have someone so lacking in entertainment value representing such a wonderful club, it is also starting to ruin my match day experience. The final straw being Wednesday night when I was waiting in the fanzone area for my friend, having to listen to him berate and insult a Bayern Munich fan on stage who was attempting to put on a music set.

I speak for a lot of Manchester City fans when I say that we do not want to see ‘fanzone danny’ used in any capacity at the football club as regards entertainment or media duties. We also do not want him to represent the fans view, which is how he is currently being portrayed.

I am also a big believer of if you bring a problem to the table then you should also have a solution. Moving forward, should ‘fanzone danny’ be removed from this role, I pledge to dedicate my time outside of my day job to coming up with alternative forms of entertainment, which I’m sure will appeal more to the majority of the fans.

Regards''
