Will be interesting to see if any ex pros currently involved in football media come out with any allegations or they stay out of it .
Notice 2 ex Crewe players in the media had no idea about what was going on Murphy and savage yet everyone living in south Cheshire has heard the rumours for the last 25 years.

To be fair, it's very hard to believe many 'knew' what was happening - the entire nature of it is very underground and secretive. As for the rumours, I'm sure some existed, but I also suspect plenty of people are now much wiser after the fact. 'I always knew he was dodgy' could be applied to a load a lot of people IF they later turn out to be dodgy. I think half the premier league managers look dodgy as hell, and if any turned out to be so, I'd be saying 'I always knew there was something dodgy about him'.

IF, and it's a huge if, so many heard the rumours, then they too must ask themselves why they didn't do anything or report it to the police. Deep down, I think plenty of people are happy to have a 'bit of a laugh' about dodgy characters, but don't truly believe it. If they truly did believe it, then why keep quiet?

For instance, lots of fans have made crazy comments about Mr Wenger. Do they REALLY believe it? - nah. But if anything were to involve him, they'd all come out of the woodwork saying 'it was obvious'. I could probably think of at least a dozen players with 'rumours' attached to them regarding their sexuality, or rumours of sexual incidents, but I take most with a pinch of salt, which is probably what happened at Crewe. Sadly, in this specific case, genuine crimes were being carried out.
 
The club takes its name from Senrab Street in Stepney; the club's players trained at Marion Richardson School on Senrab Street. Senrab Street is close to Barnes Street, and is also Barnes spelt backwards
