Paris Saint-Germain (A) - CL | Post-Match Thread

We can rely on the Bulgarian supporters club to take tickets from life long blues ,not much of an ask taking a short train journey to a class A game having never set foot in the Etihad is it

No issue with you going as your a regular fan and go the games ,but don't big up the effort of a few European fans that have never been near the club before on a short train ride ,would they have done the 11 hour round bus trip to Chelsea on Saturday ?
It was a £1k trip for me and the lad coming out of one wage ,there's only so much we can do
Credit to all the Blues who went last night. It’s a lot of expense for the vast majority of fans. Even the £60 tickets are pretty steep.

Btw I’ve had a quick look on Twitter and this is our France Supporters Club (about 20 of them). Clearly the vast majority, including many U.K. Blues, travelled much further to the game. Credit to all our supporters

He was onside due to where Sterling’s right leg was, particularly given the new instruction this year, they wouldn’t have judged him offside (well, the ref tonight might if he’d been judging it, he gave them everything!)
Oh dear.

Do people really not know the offside rules?

The position of the body of the player playing the ball is never an issue. It's the position of the player receiving the ball that matters. If you're in front of the ball when it's played you're in an offside position unless two defenders are closer to the goal line than you are. The line is drawn between the player receiving the ball and the second to last defender.

Bernie is obviously in front of the ball when Sterling heads it.

So if he'd scored (or got a penalty for being bundled over afterwards) it would have been disallowed.

Thought we played very well. Whilst we are a very good side and have some great players, to me we are missing something. We have two wide players who just check inside all the time. The side has very little real pace up front. Miss the days of Leroy running at defenders and beating them with pace. We just don’t have that anymore. Don’t get me wrong our football is excellent but I personally do not as find us as exciting to watch as when we use to break with pace. Last night we needed a player to run at them and beat players not keep checking back inside.

It’s not clear cut from the point at which Sterling heads the ball (I.e. the location of the ball at that moment). He missed. That’s life. We need to bounce back at Anfield.

I feel a Twat saying this.

Soon as i see Sterling Name in the starting 11 these days my stomach sinks.

He fucks everything up,he has no redeeming qualities.Literally every move involving him breaks down .

When he gets the Ball, there is no excitement, you expect him to lose possession, fall over, mis kick etc.

Players have off games. His off games are now every game he plays. He is detrimental to the team and how we play.
I am sure you are aware,i feel the same - i think he's awful and definitely not my kind of player.

My point was last night,he was chosen, and he gave his best - whatever you think of that level.

only managed to catch the last 20 mins, so cant comment on the majority of the game. basically turned it on just before messi scored, and after then the wind was completely taken out of our sales.

Seems a trend though, that whenever raheem starts, we drop points.

Why are you arguing on this topic anyway ? The refs were horrible and they could have allowed it. We had two clear penalties at laporte and dias that werent given , and Kevin deserved a red card. The refs was a joke. But whats the point of this dispute about Bernardo being offside or not ?
