Football is all about opinions and in my eyes Parker is an over rated midfielder deemed better than he is because he is English. He runs about a bit maybe but is lacking any sort of quality to be good enough for a team aiming for the top 6. Hughes will love Parker as he will not give him any trouble. I was all for keeping Hughes as he could deliver players in the transfer window, but signing Parker is the easy option to give us mid table mediocrity.
What we need is players who perform week in week out, people like bridge and parker do that, you cant have a team that have lightweight but skillful and inconsistent players it doesnt work. Look at the rags they have been playing carrick and fletcher for most of the season and it works and they arent superstars. All good teams have the workers in it.
The amount of pillocks on here who would have ireland, rob, swp, elano in the same team and then want us to sign the likes of kaka as well is frighteneing. Like i have said before the harlem gobetrotters are good to watch but would win fuck all
