Happy with this so far, Bridge, Parker, Santa Cruz (probably). All players that won't object to Hughes training methods, won't spit the dummy out, will work for the team, and be effective at what they do. We badly need to strengthen the squad, get rid of those that flatter to decieve and those who are simply not good enough, replace with good quality, solid players, then start with the big signings (although wouldn't be adversed to 1 or 2 in January ;-)). Should be a much more difficult team to beat with those three in the side. Next stop 1 or 2 central defenders please.

happy with bridge ( will show consistency currently lacking)
happy with parker (were never gonna get much better than that in Jan to be fair,very few box2box with PL experience better than him if you think about it)
would like to see a strong experienced centre half, perhaps toure
a new goalie, given or someone for the right to push swp and cover his injury, not belamy
plus a world class forward, villa most likely
that would be the 5 signings and honestly its all we need for now to help us stabilise
we would have almost every position covered with able understudies, unlike currently
we need to follow the chelsea blueprint, have 2 decent players for each position to encourage competition, then strengthen the whole squad gradually over a number of transfer windows.
Fans need to be patient methinks leslie can still do the business for us

Football is all about opinions and in my eyes Parker is an over rated midfielder deemed better than he is because he is English. He runs about a bit maybe but is lacking any sort of quality to be good enough for a team aiming for the top 6. Hughes will love Parker as he will not give him any trouble. I was all for keeping Hughes as he could deliver players in the transfer window, but signing Parker is the easy option to give us mid table mediocrity.
And Ill take mid table stability for now.Thank you.Then we get the special one etc in June
