Pep documentary on BBC

Just wished they're carried on with the Pep/Jose rivalry in Manchester.
Would of topped off a great watch

It amazed me how much footage there was when he was a kid, they must have known he was destined to become a great, and with Cruyff taking him under his wing, it's like weird how it panned out, like I say destined.

I will cry when he leaves us, if he ever does that is (fingers crossed that he stays forever)

Great watch but would've like to have seen Pep being interviewed
At one point I thought that but then realised it was somehow fitting that he wasn’t interviewed. It was more interesting hearing other people’s views on him without thinking ah well they’re only saying that because he is around. It was people reminiscing and talking affectionately but without over sentimentality. (Except for Winter of course)
Does that make sense? :-)

Cruyff has always been my non City hero,I was 9 in 1974 when he amazed and dazzled me at the world cup,i was mega pissed off when Holland didn't win it.
Said to my nipper last night watching it, how funny his protege went on to be our most decorated and gifted manager.
There's a reason for everything, Viva Pep.

Have you enjoyed (past tense) your time on here EB?
I’m lying in my bed poorly sick and can’t eat gravy as my Gran used to say but that post really made me laugh out loud and cheered me up.

(Almost as much as hearing John Boy is back)

Please forgive me and let me stay so I can go overboard about JB being back? If I were well enough I’d be on my knees begging you. :-) :-)

Don't be so disrespectful. Of course Sir Alex was visionary. He could spot an opening in the traffic at 500 yards so he could drive down the hard shoulder for a shite.

Couldn’t find the nearest McDonald’s or service station to go for a dump though could he.

No, they’ll be hearing that slimey **** Winter saying they should win it, they’ve spent a billion. ****

If they want to choose to listen what that waste of space said, then they are dafter than I thought, must admit it was the only down side to the show having that soft **** spouting shit.

But then again that's the BBC for you, you know trying to showing themselves to be impartial, by having a differing opinion.albeit a veiled dig, because let's be honest that's all it was, a veiled dig, from another biased football writer.

From memory, wasn't Fernandinho coming back from a bad injury and Rodri had made a few mistakes running into the final? Maybe Pep didn't want to take the risk
The biggest mistake he made in the final for me was shoe horning Sterling back into the line up, he was hopelessly out of form and had not started many of the cl last 8 or 4 games. To get him in he moved Gundo back and it destroyed the flow we had going at the time.

Gundo at 6 wasn't the problem as that was his predominant position before he joined City.

Regarding the show I thought it good, but lacking in any sort of depth as to why he's the best. No nod of the hat to the false nine Foden season, the Stones role last season from both rb and cb. The coaching required to pull those two off alone is off the charts.

It waxed lyrical about all his achievements, but didn't scratch the surface for me. So many tactical topics to delve into.
