That’s just not the way we are though is it. Maybe if Stuart Pearce was manager we would do that but thankfully we have pep. Sticks to his guns and admittedly it doesn’t always work, but I think we accept that on the whole because the very bloody good far outweighs the bad.
15 minutes. How could it not even be worth a go though? I'm not asking us to become wimbledon.

No idea what Pep's game plan was. Where was creativity to come from? Kev was lost and easy to be covered by a tight Chelsea mid.

Playing a high line against Chelsea's pacey counter experts,
without Walker's pace
but with Mendy (He.Is.Not.A.Defender.)
is asking for huuuuge trouble.
Strange enough we only lost by 1.

Torres must still be suffering from Covid, he was just jogging. Someone must tell him "pressing" can't work if he guards his man 15 yards apart. Shocking positional play. Head dropping permanently. Jesus should have swapped to left wing and Torres to centre to create something.

Pep said his players are not tired. Yeah sure. That's why he changed 7 field players and they were'nt even fresh!? Wtf?
Pep said he always fields an XI that can win a match. Not today.

Actually I would have understood playing a very defensive setup to make any Chelsea counter 100% impossible and play for pens from the start if he felt we were tired. But this setup didn't make any sense. To me.

We have managed without Kev before, and I hope Pep just tries to emulate that previous setup.

Bernie needs to stop being pushed up high, we've won games with him there, and he does well, but we are better off with Gundogan having that freedom instead, and letting Bernie drop deep to help us control the midfield again.

Foden-----------------Jesus----------------Mahrez
-----------Gundogan----------
-----------------------------------Bernie
-------------------------Rodri
----------------------BACK FOUR----------------------

This is the setup and way for us to get back on track.

If we end up with fuck all I'll ask the question again. There's no point in reaching a semi final and neither turning up or trying to change how the game is going.
Not withstanding the defeat that football today was turgid, toothless and boring as fuck, same as the first 9 games or so of the season.
Very true. Would rather the entire first team tear their ACL for pride and glory in a cup semi final than be realistic and rotate across 4 competitions.

Some of the criticism looks like criticism for the sake of it. I saw him simultaneously getting called out yesterday for rotating too much and also not rotating enough and causing Kev's injury.

What I do totally get is the criticism of his fucking diabolical use of subs. There's just no defence for it, as far as I'm concerned.

Feels like pep has rotated us out of form in the last 6 weeks
That run was based on the team being almost the same throughout with a few changes here and there
8 changes is too much, they are nowhere near as good as us. But they only made three changes
