Spot on with his rotation today and use of subs. It's often one of the very few legit criticisms you can throw at him but he nailed it.

If in case he leaves at the end of next season, I hope we score a total of 1000 goals under Pep. We have been on-target for the last 5 years.

1000 goals in 7 seasons = 143 avg. per season
Last 5 seasons, 716 goals = 143 avg. per season

Pep Guardiola: "I met Txiki [Begiristain] a long time ago. He is very humble and a reason why I extended my contract at #ManCity. We met each other, played together for 30 years and he trusted me. Without him, I would not be here..." [via

We can retire any anti Txiki threads bemoaning transfers that could and should have happened because the only important one was getting Pep here.
Job done. Give the man a cigar.

Perfect example of why we are where we are today.

If we had gone for Pep 12 years ago, he would have turned us down. So, what does Khaldoon do? Appoint Pep's good friend to prepare the way. Spend what is required to build the perfect academy. Structure the club so that it is ready to receive the greatest manager of all time. Then once all the foundations are in place, make your move.

Long term, strategic thinking. Rome wasn't built in a day. Why United are where they are, and we are where we are.

That's sort of true but that was only because needs must. If Aguero hadn't scored in 2012 Pep would have become manager that summer.

I saw Txiki in town not so long ago.. I refrained from licking his face with love.
