pep admitted to his gundo's crush yesterday and that gabi prefers to play wider. maybe i missed it but i dont remember pep being that candid about his players

That's sort of true but that was only because needs must. If Aguero hadn't scored in 2012 Pep would have become manager that summer.
I've seen this referenced on here before and I know that the information comes from high up in the club, but nonetheless I struggle to believe it. I can see that, as the 2011/2 campaign was drawing to a close and it looked as though United would win the league, our board may have wanted to replace Mancini and the favoured candidate was Guardiola. That's all, though.

They presumably knew him to be leaving Barca before it was announced because the incoming CEO Soriano might well have been privy to that information. And they may have thought that they might be able to persuade Pep at that point because of the impending arrival of Soriano and the anticipated arrival of Begiristain. But is it really credible that Pep was on board with the idea at that point, even before Txiki had confirmed that he'd definitely join the club?

First, Pep announced his departure from Barca on 27 April 2012. This was before City beat United on 30 April to move into pole position in the title race, yet at that very press conference he announced that he was taking a sabbatical for a year. Not that he'd go away at the end of the season, relax and see how things were at that point - a full year off. Are we supposed to believe that this was a lie and he was in fact planning to take our job, then announce to the world at his City unveiling that he'd intended to have a breather but had an offer he couldn't refuse? Seems rather far-fetched to me.

And second, if he was so taken by the prospect of the City job at that stage, why didn't he come here in 2013, after his year off, as multiple sources claim Txiki tried to persuade him to do? If he was up for coming to City when leaving Barca but we felt unable to sack Mancini when he won the title, why did Pep accept Bayern's offer a few months later, when it was already obvious that we'd struggle to retain the title and Mancini would likely be off, unable to work under the new regime? Txiki was in post by this point, so why would Pep have had second thoughts?

The facts don't stack up for me. I think City wanted Pep at that point, but I seriously doubt he wanted us before his mates had come in, prepared the ground for him, got through the initial impact of FFP, and created a set-up in which he could thrive. And if Pep did think that, he was absolutely right. It's much better for us that he came here in 2016 than in 2012 or 2013.

A question, do peps family live in this country do the kids go to school here mrs barm asked and I didn't know.
She shares her time between Manchester and Catalonia due to her family's fashion business being in Spain. She runs it with her sister.

Apparently, the youngest child stays with her, so presumably goes to school in Spain. The older kids seem to do pretty much their own thing

Just on the way to the game but will reply tomorrow. City themselves confirmed this and it largely went under the radar.

Players come and go. We will all have opinions as to how players perform or who we sign.

But the fact is that our manager is brilliant. So just hope that when he goes our owners have a good plan.

Squad management and improvement has been phenomenal during the last two years - especially..

Who are our so called worst players right now -> GJ, Sterling, Ake and Grealish.. (and KDB maybe.. :D)

But this guys play good football as well, problem is that others are too good.

Also, how he introduced Palmer and McAtee - these guys will Rock soon..

P.S But as Pep loves to say, when you win everything is good, when you lose - you are the worst manager. So... :D
