No.

Those players have had automatic walk ins into the lineup for far too long and they've been shit.

FFS when's the last time someone from our midfield got a key pass through to Haaland?

When's the last time our midfielders scored a goal in the PL so the CB's on Haaland have to think about them too and not just Haaland?

And when's the last time we had 3 clean sheets in a row?

Certainly not this season.

So whatever happens, he's doing the right thing and making a statement that lackluster performances are not going to be rewarded with game time.

He's making a statement all right.
But I fear it's at the expense of the result and perhaps even the season.

It's okay if Arsenal win the league.

Just breathe.

FFS we needed a 5:36 miracle to win the league last season so these players have been underperforming for far too long.

And Haaland's goals have been papering over the cracks. Take his goals out and our record would be mid table. Hell with our defensive performances of 18 goals given up in 18 games, we have zero right to think about the league.

Leagues are won on top of defensive excellence.. something we've sorely missed this season!

We have 20 games left in the league. If we can keep a clean sheet in 15 of them, maybe just maybe we can think about the league.
 
He’s not beyond criticism, but he can’t be blamed for Ederson playing that shit pass and Rodri bottling the tackle on Kane.

We played okay before then and Haaland should have scored that header.

This. Nobody gives a shit if Mahrez loses the ball a few times while trying to be progressive. He can’t score the goals he did playing like he did in the 1st half. Give the wide forwards freedom to lose the ball sometimes and sometimes they will produce the magic.
 
For the nth time, no changes HT doesn't mean no tactical changes, but next time we don't improve immediately people will moan as usual. Good overall match, FH was also good (although ST was amazing). We have been much better against elite opposition this season, so I thunk we'll be good against Arsenal and UCL.

This 11 is the best we have now (maybe KDB instead of Gundogan and Dias for Akanji obviously).
 
Good adjustments by Pep realizing we need more threats than just Haaland alone and others have to chip in with goals.

The defenders have to think about more than just Haaland.

He didn't like what he was seeing the last few games and changed it up.

No second guessing when his feet were to the fire thanks to the Ederson mistakes but that's not on Pep at all.

But he stuck to his guns and pulled it out.

I still think Arsenal are favorites and have no problem with them winning the league but I want City playing well. Tonight was a giant step in the right direction.

As I've said before, need clean sheets to think title!

And maybe the rumours that Pep lost the locker room can rest now, because no sqiad fights like today if they don't want the manager to stay.

I still think Foden might have had a fight/argument with Pep, but his level so far this season is awful, that he being benched is more than fair.
