Well what if we keep on with this and get relegated then ? is that acceptable to you ? and please don't tell me so what we've been in the third tier before, we weren't one of the richest clubs in the world in those days, not challenging for the league or even top 4 after so much success is understandable, but this form is totally unacceptable.

The wealth of the club is utterly irrelevant to judging Guardiola's performance.

The wealth of the club is relevant to judging the performance of those responsible for transfers. Those people have let Guardiola down.

He needs to go and someone with fresh ideas needs to replace him, who would enforce a quicker game. Its painfully clear at this moment. Thanks for everything though, legendary manager and second only to Ancelotti on the GOAT list.

He's won more league titles at City than Ancelotti has won in his 25 year career.

I don’t want to but if we do we do, I’m not losing sleep over it,nor getting rid of the best manager in the world that will get us back to the top. Luckily the club will see it the same way and there will be no knee jerk stupid decisions.
I'm not saying get rid, I'm asking how the best manager in the world can let it get like this, we've had over two months of this and performances/results are just getting worse. Hes watching the same thing every week as we plummet further.

Injuries and lack of signings/refreshing the squad are a factor yes, but no one can ever tell me that we should only have one win in 13 games considering who the manager is and the players we still have available. It has to lay at someone's door and I'm not having it should be all with the board.

We need a quicker style but no manager is going to be able to implement it with these players. Pep deserves the chance to rebuild. He gets the money and buys who he wants. If it doesn’t work out after that, questions can be asked. I’m not having Pep being out of a job for one bad season after what he has given us.

No it's not because he has a say in the transfer market and the squad planning too, he could've convinced Alvarez to stay like he did with Walker, two big mistakes as it turned out.

Pep is certainly the answer with a squad of elite players, not sure he's the guy to get the best out of the current squad at the current time.
I still back him 100% though & hope he stays for the rebuild

Correct me if Im wrong but isnt it Txiki who was Pep's right hand for half a decade that brought all the players?

Good news:
we played "really really good" again.
:-/

At least we're getting back to be good enough to commit Tactical Fouls by pulling Broja's underwear to preserve a tie. We haven't been that good for months.

IMHO we need 2 CB's, RB, DM, creative & pressing AM (maybe 2 AM's).

To make top 4 we need min 45 of the next 60 available points for 73 pts!

Is he responsible for Nunes’ brain fart in the 87th minute against the rags or Haaland’s penalty miss today though? Just to name two recent examples off the of my head. That’s 5 points right there in two games that we should’ve won based on the run of play but the players made individual mistakes
No he's not but equally, off the top of my head was he responsible for kompany scoring that goal vs Leicester to win us the league in 2019?
Ultimately he is responsible for results, if he's responsible for when we win and are successful he has to be responsible in this period too.

Further to that, he's been the best manager in the world for 15 seasons.

If anyone honestly believes there's someone better out there, name them!

We always talk about players having confidence and form..

No one ever talks about managers having confidence and form..

Sometimes you have to play players into form.. like KDB when coming back from injuries is shit till he's brilliant. We need to have patience with Pep.

I don’t think those shelling out money care what he say on tv straight after the game, whenever I go to games I never see the after game interviews to be honest.
If given the choice I doubt he'd do the post match stuff, so yes what he says is pretty pointless, as are most post match manager quotes.
I’m not expecting any great insights from him and no doubt if he could get away with not doing the interviews then he wouldn’t.

But he does have to do the interviews and like it or not, it’s the main communication from the manager after the match, and the thing that gets most widely reported.

Simply coming out with the same ‘we played really well’ line isn’t plausible. He gets paid 20 million a year, so we’re hardly putting him out asking him for a proper appraisal of the performance. You never know, a pointed remark about our performance and a bit of honesty might actually have an impact. I think we’re at the point now where we need to do things a bit differently.

To quote the amazon documentary. "In the press conference I will defend you until the last day in our lives, But in here, Im going to tell you the truth
I don’t even bother watching/reading his post match interviews. It’s always the same sounbite. No proper insight at all and no problem with it. He saves it for the dressing room
