To be fair pep has always said he is only as good as his players. Think that is proving to be true!

Come on mate. Do you really think pep doesn’t have a say in transfer strategy? By all accounts it was pep who wanted the small squad and turned down the chance to signs haaland back up after Alvarez left
He wanted players like Bruno but the club did not want to spend. Players like Nunes, Phillips should not even be on our radar & to let Alvarez go with no striker coming in is shocking. I agree the small squad on pep & is also mental

If he doesn't tweak his high line tactics then this run continues. I bloody love the bloke but it's boardering on the insane that he refuses to change it, even if only temporarily. United will murder us on Sunday if he doesn't

Can never understand why he wants a small squad but mains every press conference about how many games the players have to play

Is there a Txiki/Transfer board thread? No?
Ok, well Pep is part of the problem to.

In this football era elite players are hard to come by, there is no KDB, Modric, Iniesta, Gerrard, Puyol Regen. The top level of player is your Bruno Guimares, Macallister, Raphinha, Odegaards.

This whole policy of small squad of elite players is not going to work in this era, we need a big squad of players that a good/top level.

I'm not convinced we're ready to spend, probably because of all the 'charges' City are dealing with.
