So I watch other teams playing well to get ideas of what the football landscape is.
PSG and Barcelona are 2 examples.
They both tilt one of their fullbacks wide (Barca LB, PSG RB), then let the winger on that side roam inside (Barca Raphinha, PSG Kvara/Doue) to be the "free man" while everyone else is marked.
Then they usually build on that side, switch to the other side with isolated winger who excels at 1v1 (whose fullback now comes in to help like Kounde), and just make loads of chances.
And we did that with Gvardiol and Marmoush and won every game we did it.
Doku doesnt need to be a touchline winger, he can roam inside a bit as well to rotate with Marmoush.
Let Savinho play 1v1 RW, with Nunes offering support.
The way we currently play offers no overloads or cleverness.
We can play in a similar system like PSG and Barca, whom have modernized possession football (they are still possession based teams), and it suits our players!
