I just love Pep: "C.R is a monster, and the father of the monster is Messi" :D

To win something big this season, the PL or CL, would be some achievement for Pep.

I think he tried making it work with Gundo and Kova double pivot and you saw what happened. Gundo for whatever reason isn't dependable enough right now.. slow in defensive and not creative enough.

And on the other side.. Matteus Nunes has 6 G/A this season.. the most out of any player not named Haaland. Surely KDB and Foden will outpace him if they get healthy and play more, but he's justifying his space in the lineup right now based on his production and he seems to be tracking back and helping the defense.

As far as who can actually help Kova and play DM alongside.. it'll be a patchwork of players till January and then maybe we get the player we want since no one is going to be Rodri.

If Pep wanted a challenge.. this is it.. figure out a way to stay at the top without a ballon d'or player!

Basically we're going to have to learn to play a new way for at least 2 seasons.. since Rodri is out for at least 1 year and ACL honestly takes 2 to be the same player you were before.
The kid Nico can definitely fit in there.

We've got a lot of issues at the moment, but you can't question the commitment from him or the players to go again. Southampton were given a lot of credit by Pep and Bernardo so whilst we were all expecting a bigger win, clearly they made it a challenge and we perhaps shouldn't be so dismissive of the opposition. With De Bruyne, Doku, Grealish, Walker and Rodri missing plus a few still trying to find form, to be top is fantastic.

Lots to work on, but it's all about winning no matter how it happens and the players are fighting in every game.

Tonight can do one, then it's three very tricky ties away at Bournemouth and Sporting and home to Brighton. The two in the league we have to win. Then it's another International break and hopefully we have everyone but Bobb and Rodri back and can kick on.

pep literally said that they were hungover during the fa cup final

The biggest problem for me this season.
I cant think deep enough to clarify whats the reason.

KDB misssing probably the biggest thing, he creating 2-3 clear cut opp. Per game

Rodri missing, he is also maestro on the ball

Lack of creation from the wings
They usually just pass the ball back to Lewis/Gvardiol and nothing happens

Missing the players like Sane and Sterling able to da looot of creating

Remember 2017/18 season

We have the top 4 assisters in the league
KDB ,Silva ,Sane ,Sterling in that order

I'd be more worried if we weren't making any chances. We're top scorers in the league. What'll we be like if/when we up our conversion rate?

Since Nunes has come in on the left his goals and assist is encouraging
