That's sacrosanct, that. You're not allowed to say they're not playing for him, despite all perceivable evidence pointing to that very fact.
Anyone doubting it should watch Everton’s break at the end.

One, maybe two of our players made an effort to get back. The others couldn’t be arsed.

Sad to see it but it’s absolutely undeniable.

Everything has an end. Time to go for Pep. This team needs a different approach. Hes trying to do the same thing with a different group of players than he had in his heyday at City. Bring a more direct and pragmatic coach.

We created plenty of chances though and played better than we had done in recent weeks. If Bernardo or Haaland score their chances in the first half we are 2-0 or even 3-0 up and in the clear. Even at 1-1 we were creating opportunities, including a penalty.
Yeah well it's bloody Everton at home, if you can't create chances against them you might as well give it up, we were still crap defensively and a better team would've destroyed us on the counter, remember we beat Forest 3-0 and Forest are 4th and nothing really changed, we need to get a few wins in a row and I just don't see that happening anytime soon.

You couldn't give a fuck? Did you not give a fuck when we won the treble either? I bet you did.
Right I did, still loving it. I’m just not entitled enough to expect it every year forever. You know what Im enjoying this season too , I still look forward to games, can’t wait to go to the next one. No pressure on this seasonit will be what it will be,if it’s 13 th excellent it isn’t relegation. So no I’m not stupid enough to want to throw out the baby with the bathwater.
