He had his tactics right, but the players are unable to execute them.
He was right to try and play the game in their half to see it out, playing backwards was inviting pressure and with all the mistakes we’ve been making in defence it became a recipe for disaster.
The whole back four were dreadful tonight and that is not the fault of the manager (well it is is suppose, he should not have picked them)
The tactics for the majority of the game was fine, like I said before it wasn't his fault that it was 3-2, it was only on Gvardiol, but he needed to change it after that and tell them to drop deep and close the game out, but he's just too stubborn. He had his tactics right, but the players are unable to execute them.

Correct. The tactics were good. The players were totally crap, he must have many regrets over who he brought on.When you’ve Dias on bench and them subs are made it’s fucking criminal
Well you're probably right about that, if Dias can play sunday he should play Ake at LB, maybe some time on the bench will help Gvardiol because goodness me he's been dreadful for a month now.Who decided to use Gvardiol? He should have been on the bench (or even left out of the squad) after the disaster show against Tottenham.
The tactics were absolutely fine from the start. The subs were utter wank though - took off arguably our best three players on the night, two of whom (Gundogan and Ake) offer at least a little bit of leadership. It was a major error and we paid the price.Correct. The tactics were good. The players were totally crap, he must have many regrets over who he brought on.
I don’t think we’ll see the likes of McAtee or Simpson Pusey for a while
