i guess the contract extension was his last shot....a defensive coach & a younger co-coach is needed...he clearly doesn`t reach the players anymore & doesn`t know how to get a clean sheet

Totally uncharted territory for pep this now. Genuinely playing like a relegation threatened side with no other players that can change it.
14* goals conceded in the last 5 games. Would be nice to see an ounce of pragmatism in our set-up to help our obvious defensive issues.

It's not like we're a good watch going forward at the minute either. Why can't he set the side up to play to the strengths of the players he has available and stop us from conceding goal after goal?

It square pegs in round holes at the minute because most of the players can't do what he's asking them to anymore or simply can't full stop.

It's tough. We are creating chances but our players have zero confidence in every aspect. I don't know if our midfield has any solution, but it's time for playing a different one. A Nunes, Foden O'Reilly or something very physical and capable of constant pressing. Will it work? Probably not, but we know Gundogan- Bernardo are not starters anymore.

I think we simply don't have the players. Maybe that will mean that from half season on, Wright McAtee and O'Reilly will be playing and maybe 1 or 2 of them will be important part of the squad because of it.

This is the time to support the team.

Don't worry pal, he'll play the same way against the dippers next week and surely it will work.

The news he has committed 2 more years may not be what the club or Pep actually need.
The game is always evolving and without great players in their prime his style has been sussed out.
Athletic bigger players just run straight through his aged slow midfield . We know it ,we can see it but he has a blind spot. Liverpool have done it for years and it caused us problems- the others have just caught on to this.
We need a new reset , some top quality players and a style to match the high energy athleticism of teams
Critics of Pep always pointed out he inherited top players who could adopt his tactics. Well the last 5 games indicate he cannot work with mediocre players.
