I suppose if we were offered this 8 years ago
2 x Trebles
Centurions
Champions league
4 peat
3 fa cup finals in a row

We would have taken it in a heartbeat
Just hard to take now
No argument with that….and also not winning anything this season.

It is the awful football we have been watching and the fact Pep has not tried to change it.

Yesterday was one of the most frustrating performances I have watched in nearly 60 years of Supporting the blues.

We have had far worse teams/squads over the years but it is the way they are being asked to play.

I wasn’t too unhappy with the team he picked yesterday although would much rather see the younger players selected, it was the way they were asked to play with the 2 centre backs almost playing walking football and McAtee, Gvardiol and a seriously out of form Foden all being played out of position.

If DeBruyne is not good enough to be awarded another contract….why is he being picked.

Anyone watching yesterday’s game could see that the tempo and passing was far too slow but Pep didn’t change it until half time.

What is the aversion to putting the ball into the box, time and time again yesterday, especially on our right hand side, there were opportunities to get a cross in, but the ball was recycled back into to middle…..it seems as though only De Bruyne is allowed to cross it.

Apart from De Bruyne and Doku when he came on, the team are afraid of trying something different for fear of giving the ball away….this can only come from Pep.

I have nothing against possession based football, but we are passing the ball without any purpose.

I am open minded about Pep staying, whilst realising he has been a genius and his achievements, especially 4 in a row will never be surpassed, I feel as though this season he has lost the spark and imagination to turn things around.

While I’m here browsing this section of the forum.

It must be so annoying as a player, to be in form and then benched at any given time. Pep literally halts form. And tinkers when tinkering isn’t necessary. As a player you should feel that if you are in form you keep your place in the x11.

That doesn’t happen with Pep. He has random brain farts.

Savhnio was our in form attacker during the period we played Madrid. Then out of nowhere Pep played him down the centre which made ZERO sense. And ever since that game he’s been dropped and way out of form.

To leave Marmoush sat on the bench when Kevin was stinking the place out. It’s bizarre.

Yes Pep has been fantastic. However it’s ok to criticise some of the things he does. We have won one champions league and that come from him not tinkering. Previous seasons it was always the same, random brain farts that wouldn’t work and then we was out.

Jose was a good manager but he stood still and football evolved, Jose refused and in return he was no longer a top manager.

Pep needs to come out his comfort zone. Stop playing backwards and sideways at snail pace. Spain, PSG , Barca this year alone have shown you can still have possession without being ponderous. The way they play is high risk, but it’s exciting, it’s great to watch and it would help really get the atmosphere going at the Ethiad.

Pep talks about the fans and the atmosphere but his philosophy really doesn’t allow the fans to get excited. It’s boring it’s bums on seats watching back passes and side passes. Even if a player has made a great forward run, it rarely gets played.

It’s just bums on seats and watch a load of backwards and sideways passes.

There was a lack of movement in the box yesterday. Haaland is 100% on the far post in any attack. He doesn't seem to want to attack the near post at all. Its also not helped that when he is in the box he is invariably manhandled by at least two defenders so the days of Kev curling in a cross into the corridor of uncertainty are long gone because Haaland is physically stopped from getting on the end of them. It seems that the only crosses that work are cut backs to midfielders. Like the one Bernie made a hash off yesterday. We had something like 11 corners yesterday and most of them were floated long to the other side of the far post. No invention. No imagination. If we have a set piece coach they should have been sacked a while back. Speed is everything and our passing is now at snail pace. There is a reason than Southampton were able to keep a clean sheet yesterday. We allowed them to.

I think frustration straight after the final whistle can lead to comments which you probably don't actually mean as your head can be circling the moon, I'm guilty of it too, and sometimes the comments from people is valid. You'd find stuff like this regular especially with Dias daft post match interview

In the cold light of the day when people have slept on it, most people realise hes not "washed" or "needs to leave and get someone else in"

Think everyone just needs the summer off, players will leave, new fresh players will come in and we'll push on.

I'm wondering if Pep is giving some of these players a last chance to prove themselves before some very big decsions that need to be taken. Let's not think Pep is stupid, he can see everything we can during the games and maybe he has again proven a point that some are just not at the level we need.

It all depends on the final. If he doesn’t pick some of those players again then it’s an admission he got it wrong.

It's a bit risky to do that with CL qualification at stake but you might be right.

He’s fucked up on more than one occasion this season we all know that, he will as well, although he’d never admit it, but for these thinking he should bow out with head held high are not thinking it through properly, once he goes we are fucked, and I mean fucked and games like yesterday will become the norm again.

But us of a certain age are used to that I suppose

What a load of nonsense!

We was good before Pep arrived. We will be good after Pep has gone.

We have incredible owners who I trust will keep moving this club forward.

Bayern did ok without Pep?

Is it fuck nonsense, come on then clever arse if he goes who do we get in to carry on and keep us at the top, I’m intrigued now

And if you compare that bundesliga with our league then I’ll pack in engaging with you right now

But he's already turned it around. In the first 18 games we took 28 points and in the second 18 games we took 37, with only Liverpool taking more.

Utter bollocks. So were only a club based on pep? So when he leaves we back to bottom mid table? You sound like hes doing us a favour. Bollocks

“The Pep-Klopp era” lol such a forced fucking narrative by the cartel media. baring the one title Klopp won it would have been 7 titles in a row
The funniest thing is, those title run-ins with them were possible the greatest PL seasons of all time and yet, the lazy, knob infused media, just complain about ‘the same team winning it so it’s not competitive’. It was, of course, the very definition of competitive, as opposed to our 100 point season and the stroll in the park this season.
It’s almost like they don’t know what they’re talking about……

Football continues mate. One man doesn’t make this club. It never will. We will continue to be successful long after Pep has gone. Like I said, the owners of this club are the best in the world. And they will ensure we continue to be successful.

Was we successful before Pep?

No, I’m on about it’s him whose needed for next year or two to get us back amongst it proper, then someone can come in and be confident of taking over the winning machine again, so I’ll ask you then, if he did fuck off who could come in and get us back amongst it? Bollocks

I have a different outlook.

The Pep era has been incredible. But I’m excited for what will come after Pep.

Some fear post Pep. Others are excited by it.

Excited by change, excited by a change of style.
