I know what I see. The PL is over hyped and definitely not high quality outsude top 3 or 4.
Not for me. There’s so much quality in the prem, not just players but managers. What league has a better overall quality than the prem? Not a chance it’s La Liga and same goes for Serie A.

There's not a lot of quality football anywhere in Europe to be honest.

Excitement in the PL, yes because it's close run for top 5 places a change, but do you honestly think Chelsea, Villa, Forest are 'quality'? Arsenal have been poor for weeks and Newcastle aren't exactly top class.

We're the most average side in the top 7. Our drop off has been unbelievable. Liverpool have been handed the league on a plate.

Pep is still a draw for the top players even if we did miss out for one season in the Champions League.
That's why I'm not in the 'Pep out' crew. Still a great draw for players.

Hope he attracts and help us net Wirtz, Reinjders, Cambiasso, Donnarumma Rodrygo, and Livramento.

If he does, we'll be very good next season whether he tinkers or not. :(

I wouldn’t want another person to lead us through this period.

Genuinely disappointed to see so many turn on him due to a bad season. Yes it’s been crap and boring but what about all the seasons we ripped it up? He is more than due a rocky season or 2 ffs.

A victim of his own success.

So many players have not turned up this season. I would move any of them on instead of pep, any.

Let’s all buckle under the pressure instead. As if pep can’t see how shite we are. He is dealing with a huge squad of players who are nothing more than average at best.

No wonder he is sick of them. It’s a game of football not rocket science. The majority need to do a lot better or be shown the door. I would just get rid now.

Rip the plaster off and go again.

We don’t score goals and it’s on the players. We concede stupid goals and it’s on the players. We create fuck all and it’s on the players. The recruitment is on the club. Both those major issues is why we look and play like shit.

An exciting finish to a season is not necessarily indicative of quality. A few very average teams involved in there, ourselves included.

I believe the Prem is strong in terms of strength in depth. It's probably been to the detriment of some of our European campaigns over the years where we've had to flog players that would ideally have been rested. It's rare that English sides win the CL on the back of being domestic league champions the previous year.

Real haven't been the best team in Europe for goodness knows how long, but they play in an inferior league and have won countless Champions Leagues in that time. You only have to see how Utd made mincemeat of Bilbao in the Europa League when Utd are Derby/Paul Jewell levels of shitness. Themselves and Spuds both won their respective semis convincingly which shows the glaring lack of quality elsewhere in Europe. Chelsea had a horrendous slump in form and they're still in the Conference League final.

I think we were the best team in Europe for about a 7 year period and Liverpool for the majority of that time were 2nd. In those years Real have somehow picked up another 3 or 4 Champions Leagues, but that's cup competitions for you.

Remind me how many points we got against 'Derby level of shitness' FC this season.

That's PL standard this season. Average at best.

So you're basing your argument on two derby games? Despite them playing us at our very worst and in the lead up to that fixture we'd only claimed one victory in the previous 10 games we threw that home game away against them. The reverse fixture I agree was a sham and neither team deserved or 'earnt' a point.

I think there is an issue with pep’s tactics in terms of wingers and creativity. Our attacking players are frightened to get crosses in the box, take players on or try a dangerous ball - in fear of losing the ball.

Players like foden, grealish, savinho and Doku get the ball and knock it back now 90% of the time. That surely has to be pep telling them to do that.

It’s killing any personality or creativity our players have

I don’t know what you’re waffling about. You replied to a comment saying recruitment has been appalling. It absolutely has l, how are you even arguing with that.
'They are all mistakes bar Savinho who shouldn't be near a first eleven'. So he isn't a mistake but shouldn't be near the team?
It doesn't make sense.

This comment slightly worries me, cause we didn't play well yesterday. We didn't try to find our striker and just passed it around at the back for most of the game.

We dominated the game and should have walked away with the cup

we didn't for a few reasons: our wingrrs are not brave enough to either feed the ball through put in a cross or take a shooting chance.
Kev was done by the 50th minute (probably before) he should have been off at H/T
We have 2 strikers who beg for the all to be put though or over to them early, it never happens and after sideways pass number 50 teams have doubled up on pur attack.
We have half hearted tackles and recoveries easily lost and 2nd balls some are too lethargic to chase (including the strikers).

Some of it is down to Pep and his selections/subs, some of it us dow. to players not producing a high enough standard or stepping out of second gear.

But Saturday even in 2nd gear and half arsed we dominated but were toothless.

If we score the penalty we win the game, it’s as simple as that.

Is most of that not on Pep though? Those that make risky passes forward, then get dropped. Same with our wingers who run up the pitch and stop dead to look for a non existent overlap, its got to be coached into them surely? Nobody would naturally play that way. He wants ball retention at all costs. He says as much everytime we lose a game by more than a goal.
