Pep: 'The players deserve a full stadium, we need our fans!'

So in summary then all this arguing and we still don't all agree? Typical City... ;)

Attendance: Would have got better anyway but his comments might have made a few more fans who uhhm and ahhh about going(it may be even their first match day experience) make their minds up.

Booing: The manager doesn't like it, the club doesn't like it(maybe even prompted Pep to address it?) they don't want to further sour their relationship with UEFA it might already be a bit naff and they want to improve it. Is it that big of a deal to do that one small thing not boo for the anthem for 30secs, if you over do it you dilute the impact which would leave you worse off if they shit on the club or fans again it will not be as noticeable... it's going to get to the point where they are immune to it and the rest of the world are just used to it and it all becomes old hat and not even worth mentioning. Why don't fans who feel so strongly about it do proper protests outside the stadium or outside their headquarters? Or do they not really feel that strongly about it when they aren't trying to make a case why they can enjoy a good boo for a laugh? ;)

Drama: There was no need for so much drama over what Pep said, he's entitled to his opinion for one, he's also very important to the club for another and lastly maybe it was about what he genuinely thinks is best for the club... the one most important piece in all of it.

Just out of interest dribble, and I really don't mean to provoke, but what realistically could UEFA do for you to consider justice has been served?
After what they've done to us, pour petrol on themselves and strike a match. That would just be for starters. I'll crack on thinking of other acts they can commit against themselves to satisfy my lust for revenge. I doubt even mass FBI arrests and their remains being buried on Guantanamo Bay would suffice, but it would be a start......

If there's any depraved acts of revenge you can suggest to be added, feel free to contribute mate.

I very much admire and respect your passion for defending what you see as right and attacking what you see as wrong. As someone who has been arrested whilst protesting their political beliefs - and would be more than willing to go to those and further lengths again - I fully appreciate the commitment you're talking about.

My post which you replied to was a direct response to other comments about the situation of our club and our manager. Pep mentions in his first interview with Noel about this transformation and big club mentality. Like I said, that might not be what we want and it might not be for the best but it is a big part of why he's here. It's part of his job and, in my eyes at least, he has said absolutely nothing out of order and it's disappointing to see that a some are quick to flippantly label his defenders in this case to be perceiving him as some sort of messiah.

As I said yesterday, boo the anthem or don't, I completely respect both views towards that. However, Guardiola has just described his ideal scenario and his words don't deserve the overly defensive reaction from a section of users on this site.
Mate just like you and I, Pep is entitled to his opinion and I fully respect his view even if I do disagree with it. I'm glad you asked this question and I'm sure this has probably been mentioned somewhere on this thread already, but I suspect that Pep has probably got the poor attendance on Wednesday mixed up with our feud with UEFA which might explain his comments.

We all know that the attendance on Wednesday came about as a direct result of Tuesday's cancelled match, but was Pep fully aware of this? We would have booed the UEFA 'theme tune' no matter which day it was played on. I love the booing, but has anyone considered that our winning performances have increased since we commenced booing?

The booing gets my blood pumping before our matches and our players are fully aware its not directed at them but at UEFA who are directly responsible for trying to strangle Sheikh Mansour's Manchester City at birth. As a result I think it has a positive effect on them as it gives the feeling of its us against the European elite and I've never felt closer than when I give a good lung bursting boo before every game.

So as it stands I will continue my feud with UEFA until they are disbanded and replaced by an independent, fair minded board who have football's best interests at heart. So until then...... BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-)

Fuckin hell this thread has some legs.

Well our grievences against UEFA are meaningless now as far as I'm concerned & the club should have helped those who went to Russia at the time. Too late now.

It's what UEFA and the cartel clubs are attempting to do next which is more important. And the people involved should be dragged out from the shadows they hide in.

But the truth is, nobody cares enough to do that. So a quick boo which most laugh about & hardly anybody but me actually took part in, where I was on Wed, is the way for everyone to feel as if they have done something. Perhaps Pep will see he is flogging a dead horse & change tact.

Or perhaps it will die out.

But a great opportunity to attack the anthem & make an absolute volcano of noise pre kickoff is going to be missed by the look of it, which is a terrible pity.

I'm just going to leave this article here. If you still don't get it after this, you probably never will.
