Overheard an old boy in my local yesterday,said he phoned City to try and get tickets yesterday morning and was told that they were not allowed to sell any due to some UEFA ruling,is that right?
Fuckin stupid if it is.

I am in the cup schemes but could not make Wednesday due to work. Attendances are going to take care of itself with the football we are now playing.
It is a new beginning under Pep so why can't we now let bygones be bygones with regard to the booing of the anthem.
There are a lot of new people at UEFA as well. A lot of the old UEFA, who we were aiming our dislike at, hand also gone.

Agree totally. The booing of the anthem is tiresome in my opinion. We made our point, let's move on. As you say UEFA has changed now, whether that changes anything we will have to wait and see.

Pep is a perfectionist, he is taking a fresh look at all aspects of the club. To give us the maximum chance of success on the pitch, it would be better to embrace the competition and have full stadium's and loud intimidating support for every home CL match. I agree with him.

Its exactly what they should do.

Lots of business increase costs then make you think you are getting something for nothing and we could do the same.

Just include the CL group games in with the season ticket.

This manager is going to transform this club throughout and he's not going to pussy foot about any issue. I know loads of City fans that follow avidly from their sofas and can more than afford to go, if he mobilises them, then great.

the problem is if your talking about local fans ( beswick / areas around the etihad) they are some of the poorest places in the country. the majority ( just my opinion) aren't gonna pay 600/700 quid for a season ticket, i think the majority of season ticket holders are from sk8 or sale post codes and same for united. . games like tonight are a great chance for them to go though. i think we should have a 21-26 age category on tickets that would help massively.

As alluded to, it's not as if it was a sell out for the Tuesday game.

Correct, which is why had he mentioned it after the qualifying round it might have motivated a few more to make the effort. I just think he's given the headline writers an easy job of last night and I've seen it focused on far more than the performance.
If it works and the people start turning up then I suppose short term pain for long term gain.mid still rather be reading about us dismantling a decent German team than this morning than our attendances needing improving - something I didn't need telling in the first place.
