Pep: 'The players deserve a full stadium, we need our fans!'

I've slept on this and to be honest, Pep should have kept his gob shut imo, especially given the circumstances surrounding this competition with us and UEFA, the postponement just 24 hours previous and the fact no tickets where available on the day for anyone thinking id love to go tonight.

The story is not our fantastic performance last night, its empty seats yet again and its our own manager thats caused it.

I dont disagree that there is a problem come this competition and attendances but there are reasons why and its not just us, both Barca and Real had swathes of empty seats this week, both arguably the best teams in club football yet its not an issue there, just us.

I don't think he was talking about last night in isolation though.

Honestly, he might be the best coach the world has ever seen, but Pep grates on me, I find him to be a bit of a bell TBH.

I know of four people in work and a few mates who just couldn't be arsed going tonight after last night so sacked it off.

They are all local fans who could have easily got there.

If I know that many there's a fair bet that there are shit loads who just fucked it off.

Imagine having ticket, being local & not wanting to go when we are playing like this.... I literally can not wait for the next game to come round this season!

If people couldn't make it that's a different matter, but "Couldn't be arsed".....The mind boggles!

Well he cant have been talking about the home league games or away ones for that matter given his short time here and the fact its generally full for league games.

Is it an issue not selling out for the CL? yes, of course it is but there are long standing reasons why, something he or someone at the club should educate him about and this weeks game was an absolute fuck up given the weather and 24 hours notice of rearranged kick off.

For what its worth, the atmosphere last night was great given the size of the crowd and the performance was out of this world.

Thats the only talking point from the game imo.

Agree totally.

We constantly see the likes of Barcelona, Madrid, Porto just last night and obviously them clowns up the road with large empty gaps in the grounds and nothing gets said?????
What's so special about us having to sell out all the time?

We're trolled over it, but those clubs all have much bigger grounds too

I am in the cup schemes but could not make Wednesday due to work. Attendances are going to take care of itself with the football we are now playing.
It is a new beginning under Pep so why can't we now let bygones be bygones with regard to the booing of the anthem.
There are a lot of new people at UEFA as well. A lot of the old UEFA, who we were aiming our dislike at, hand also gone.

Coming out saying that last night is the first thing I've disagreed with him on. Even if the wider point might have some merit.
Other than that he's been a breath of fresh air, speaks articulately and knowledgeably on all facets of the game and his passion has swept over the club like a tornado.
I've absolutely no idea how you can reach the conclusion you have. Bizarre really.
