Pep: 'The players deserve a full stadium, we need our fans!'

I was stunned when I got in my car hearing Lakey having a go at the atmosphere. I thought 2nd half was impressive and not just Block 111/110 and the South Stand, but all round. I think he's getting mixed up with people leaving early and the atmosphere in general. The last 10 mins was flat and the droves of people leaving didn't help. It really does puzzle me why so many fans cannot stay until the end, especially after watching amazing football and spending your hard earned money on the privilege

That traffic is a nightmare though, might miss X factor must fuck off early

I suppose its how you view our booing. When I boo it's in support of our club NOT just to cause a meaningless disturbance. I think what you're forgetting here is there is a very good and valid reason behind our booing & for me the booing will bring more attention to our cause/plight than just chanting City or singing Blue Moon. If we opted to do the latter instead of booing, to the casual observer they'd probably just mistake us for badly behaved fans instead of justified insurgents with a cause....

I was in 302 yesterday, sort of overlooking the North Stand/Family Stand (whatever you like to call it). And it is staggering just how many empty seats are there come the final whistle. Their choice, of course. But I'd imagine that Pep would be perplexed by it.

Never bothered me a few years ago but fuck me its increases the past few seasons and looks incredibly poor now.

So you think disturbing UEFA/G14's 'Theme Tune' with a rousing rendition of Blue Moon will make us seem 'less' obnoxious in their eyes? Right OK.
 
This is ridiculous, the club, the manager and the players want to win the CL and want the fans to get behind the team by embracing the competition and supporting them however peoples 'right' to boo takes precedent to what the club/team and even fans want to achieve???? It makes no sense to hold a grudge in contrary to what the very entity you support wants? Jeez folks no ones trying to silence you they simply want help and if their own fans can't show that desire then sure as hell no one else is.

Nice to see some sense on here. Without being to dramatic, cant everyone see the club, the brilliant manager and players we have are in the perfect shape to move forward ? its the fans that are holding the club from progressing. Quite atmosphere, leaving early by the thousands and booing before every champ league game, the biggest competition in the world FFS. We've always moaned at "typical City shooting themselves in the foot all the time"...well its time some of our fans need to look in the mirror, sort themselves out and get behind the team from the moment they walk out to the moment they leave the pitch.
 
Most of our fans do get behind the team from the moment they walk onto the pitch, some of us even do so when they come out to warm up would you believe, and stay until every player has actually left the pitch, so we don't need anyone telling us what to do!!! We pay our money to watch our team so just let us get on with it without being berated by anyone. The fans are not holding anyone back, if a manager & players being paid the wages our manager & players are can't cope with fans booing the CL 'Anthem' then it might be time for them to find another job where their fragile sensibilities won't be upset!!!
 
I got the feeling the booing was starting to filter out last season, then came the bizarre UEFA report that suggested fines for the club and everything took off again. While I am sure Pep and Gundogan have the best intentions, comments like those will only bring it in to the light again and will make it something that divides fans and sours the atmosphere even more.
If just ignored the booing will disappear with time.
Everyone should also remember that it is not like fans are booing a national anthem or a minute of silence, It is booing of a commercial jingle of a corrupt organisation that went out of their way to hurt Manchester City both financially and in sporting terms.
 
Is there a better place to be in England at the Etihad on a Saturday at 3pm?

Get that North Stand built so that the fanbase can grow and more people can experience MCFC and that match-day gets even better.

I get more annoyed by the amount of latecomers. I don't know if there was a traffic issue but there were thousands streaming in over the first 20 minutes of the game. How hard is it to have your arse on a seat for 3pm? Then loads of people stream out to the bar from 3.30 and then all start to piss off from 4.30.

People feel they have to leave their seat at 3.30 to get served before the second half starts and leave at 4.30 to get out the ground quicker. Why can't they get in their seat for 3 though? Some will have a valid reason but not thousands.

Maybe it's just modern culture and poor attention spans.
 
We have got the best manager in the world that is clinical in every aspect of the game, he says to get the very best out of the team, the fans need to stop booing but people are still saying fuck him I'll boo if I want?!.now some players are saying the same, so it must be affecting them but no it's fuck you I'll do what I want, pure selfishness, do you want them to win the CL or not? If not fuck off and boo from your home that 'ill teach em.

Wow, you really have taken Pellegrinis sacking to heart haven't you. I imagine him bombing Hart out hasn't softened your stance either.
 
No home game for the best part of a month! Gutted. Hate the international breaks.
 
I'm in 115 and we gave it another great go yesterday. Not sure what Lakey was on about either when we got back to the car (after clapping the players off !) I can't help think that if Pep looked annoyed it was probably because of the late red card and nowt to do with the early leavers.

My lad and I never leave before all the players have left the pitch.
Only jealous fans will always quote 'The Emptihad'.
Makes me laugh. Can't criticise the football, so have to notice the lower attendance. People have plans, if they can't go 24 hrs later, so be it. It would be a good idea to make those tickets available to purchase and then use the funds raised in local charities? Just a thought.

The atmosphere for 20 mins in the second half was as good as I've heard for a while. Surprised at Lake highlighting that.

Still very disappointing seeing all the early leavers again though after what was a fantastic performance. God knows why so many go. we must be the worst side in the league for that especially when we have just won 4-0!!
